Metro Exodus Brings New Gameplay Trailer in Gamescom 2018

Metro Exodus Pre-Load

4A Games have just released a gameplay trailer of Metro Exodus in Gamescom 2018, and has also confirmed a release date set for February 22, 2019. It had been a while since 4A Games has released any information since its E3 trailer release. But the developers have decided to show a tiny bit of gameplay and have given a release date for this first-person shooter series in Gamescom 2018, which is a video gaming convention held in Europe.

In the Trailer as shown in Gamescom 2018, fans are shown the main character of the game called Arytom exploring a wasteland in Russia that is deserted, quiet, idyllic area among the mountain with valleys, wildlife and forest vegetation. But things soon change once the sun sets as Arytom will be facing a bunch of creatures and enemies that he will have to fight to survive the night. Here is what the developers had to say about the game:

“Thousands of kilometers from the ruins of Moscow, Artyom and his companions discover what seems like paradise – a lush, green valley, teeming with life. But if their years in the Metro have taught them one thing, it is this: The night brings terror. And here, terror has a new face…”

Metro Exodus

Looking at the trailer, it appears that night time in Metro Exodus will be more dangerous than enemy encounters in previous titles. As the trailer briefly shows some of the enemies to be badly mutated, feral human tribes, vicious wolves and more that have yet to be seen. In addition, Artyom will also have to go through groups of such enemies in bone chilling environments. Metro Exodus looks absolutely stunning in 4k on the Xbox One and as for PC players the experience can be enhanced more with higher performance systems.

Metro Exodus – Release Date

Unfortunately, players will need to wait a little bit longer as the release date has been pushed to February 22, 2019. It was previously hinted by the developers the game would be released sometime in the first quarter of 2019. So Metro Exodus fans will have to wait and see if this upcoming title is a worthy sequel to its predecessors.

Metro Exodus is available for preorder on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC starting at a price of $60.
