Kingdom Come: Deliverance Will Only Support Mods on PC, Consoles Not Supported

Kingdom Come Deliverance Mods

The developer of Kingdom Come: Deliverance has revealed that the game will only support mods on PC and console players will not be able to mod their games. Warhorse Studios was working on the mod support for their open-world RPG for quite some time and now the support is about to arrive however only PC players will be able to mod their game.

This was revealed by the studio in an exclusive interview with Gamepressure during Gamescom 2019. The studio shared the details that despite the support was planned by the studio for all platforms, both Sony and Microsoft did not agree with their plans and hence the mod support is only targeted for the PC. In addition, this is also the last thing that they are now working on for Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Their official words to Gamepressure about the mod support for Kingdom Come: Deliverance were:

Mod support is the last thing we are doing right now, the last thing we want to release for Kingdom Come Deliverance. Right now, we are working on modding tools so that people can do their own stuff – Steam Workshop is already working, but only with the tools you can write your own quest, for example. We are thinking of a way out to cleverly release that.

And the console bit:

Unfortunately, consoles are out because they’re not supporting this – it’s not because we don’t want to, but because Microsoft and Sony haven’t agreed on anything yet, so I can tell you: PC – yes, and we’ll see about the rest, I’m not sure.

With consoles now out of the question, the mod support will arrive soon on PC and players will be able to mod their game as much as they like. Some minor mods are already available for the game online however with the official support, the game will get tons of new mods and further increase the replayability of the game as players will start to try out new things in the game.
