Getting Started
Once you start up the game and with a tutorial on how to return a foundable back where it belongs in the Wizarding World. When you return each foundable, you will be able to see your progress by clicking your registry and then adding the foundable’s picture by clicking the flashing blue icon that appears.
Once the tutorial has ended, you can now set up your Ministry ID by clicking on the wizard silhouette at the bottom left of your screen. From here, you can change your name, the house you want to be in and the achievements. In addition, you also get to select your wand type from Ollivander.
Professions
Once you reach player level 6, you will now be able to choose your profession. There are many professions that you can choose from in the game. You can be an Auror, or a Magizoologist. Perhaps you want to teach students and become a Professor. Whatever you choose will be your decision, and will set the story of the game.
There are three Professions in the game. Each Profession has its own Skill Tree where you can add skills. The Professions are:
- Professors: These are strong spell-casters who can use magic spells to take down enemies, and support their teammates. Professors are best known to take down Curiosities.
- Aurors: These are combat veterans who can cast spells that are designed to defeat the Dark Forces.
- Magizoologists: These are healers who best fit the role of healing teammates. They are also best in taking down Beasts.
Ingredients and Potions
There are many potions and ingredients that will help you progress through the game. You can brew various potions that give you different powers or abilities to aid you. When brewing a position, you can speed the brewing process time by 15% if you correctly guess the Master Notes.
Different potions are unlocked at different levels. There are some potions that can take 12 hours to brew, this is why you should look for Master Notes as well.
Spells
There are currently 14 spells in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. In order to return a Foundable to the place where they belong, you will need to accurately trace a random glyph. This depends on the spell that you have to use. You can see all the Spells below with their effects.
- Accio: This spell summons an object towards the person casting it.
- Aguamenti: This Spell produces a stream of water that is clean and drinkable.
- Aolohomora: This spell unlocks the doors, windows and other locked objects.
- Arresto Momentum: This spell slows down the velocity of an object.
- Bombarda: This spell detonates a target in a small explosion. Best used for opening sealed doors and windows.
- Combat bolt: This is an offensive spell.
- Diffindo: This spell will cut anything.
- Ebublio: this spell traps any target in a large bubble that cant be broken.
- Expecto Patronum: This spell is a defensive spell that rids of Dementors.
- Finite: This spell causes easier ongoing spells and jinxes to stop.
- Flipende: This jinx knocks back the target.
- Incendio: This spell allows you to start fires.
- Meteolojinx Recanto: This spell is to counter-charm that causes weather effects.
- Riddikkulus: This spell forces Boggart to take the appearance of an object the caster is focusing on.
Portkeys
Portkeys are awarded to you when you unlock a Portmanteau. Portkeys are used to transfer you to an AR encounter. In this encounter, you need to find 5 Wrackspurts. This will in return give you Ministry rewards like Wizarding XP, Registry family XP, or even potion ingredients.
Once you find all the Wrackspurts, you will be able to return back to the original locations of the map. Any activated Portkey can only be accessed once.
