Frogwares Releases Official Statement Regarding the Delisting of The Sinking City

The Sinking City Delisting

Frogwares has issued a public statement today detailing how the actions of the former licensee partner BigBen Interactive / Nacon has led to the delisting of The Sinking City from multiple storefronts. The Sinking City was released last year in June under the publishing umbrella of BigBen Interactive/Nacon but due to the recent conflict between the two companies, the game has been delisted from major stores such as Epic Games Store, GOG and PSN.

Wael AMR, CEO Frogwares details:

We did our best to deal with this quietly and amicably but to no avail. Even after court rulings in our favour we are still being roadblocked in simply being allowed to sell our own game. Fans of our games keep asking for answers and quite frankly we are so tired not being allowed to tell them the honest truth. Hence our public statement.

The official statement by The Sinking City comes at a time when Frogwares is celebrating 20 years of video game development. In celebration of this major milestone, the developer currently has multiple sales running on different platforms and stores for some of their most known titles. The Sinking City is one of their best titles in recent times but unfortunately due to the current ongoing legal battle between the two companies, this game is not part of any festivities.

At this point, you can only purchase a DRM-free copy of the game from the official Frogwares store, Origin, Gamesplanet, or Nintendo Switch. The game is listed currently on the Microsoft Store but chances are that the game will soon be removed from there as well. You can head over to the official website to read the complete 4-page statement by Frogwares over the delisting of the title. We reviewed The Sinking City when it came out and we absolutely loved the Lovecraftian detective title and its setting.

Further details will be shared by Frogwares later and the developer is confident that The Sinking City will be back on all digital storefronts soon.
