Below we have detailed how you can unlock the Gunbreaker Tank in the new Shadowbringers expansion of the game.

Where to Find Gunbreaker Quest

To unlock the Gunbreaker, you need to look for a quest called “The Makings Of A Gunbreaker” which can be found near Aetheryte in New Gridania. Once you are here you need to look for the NPC Gods’ Quiver Bow, which can be found at the following coordinates:

  • Gods’ Quiver Bow: X11.5, Y 11.9

This will bring you to Hawthorne Hut where you have to engage in a little fight. After that, you will get a gear chest and weapon.

How to Play with Gunbreaker

Gunbreaker tank is best for providing your team cover and extra firepower to suppress the enemies. It has its own DPS styles and can crowd control pretty well if you know how to use it.

With the new Shadowbringers Expansion, the tank mechanics have been dramatically changed. You do not have any more enmity combos and are instead left with turning enmity on or off with your single tank stance. In the case of Gunbreaker, it is your Royal Guard. This ability is vital and needs to stay active.

The basic attacks of the Gunbreaker are Keen Edge, Brutal Shell, Solid Barrel. This is followed by gaining one cartridge in your Powder Gauge, which is enough for you to continue with a powerful combo consisting of Gnashing Fang, Savage Claw, and Wicked Talon. While these moves require a cooldown period, you can also use the strong standalone attack called Burst Strike.

When you are not going for combos, you should be supporting your teammates, and absorbing all the incoming attacks. This is best when your own attacks are in a cooldown period. Abilities like Heart of Stone and Camouflage will keep the battle relevant and smooth for everyone involved.

You can also apply buffs like Nebula, Rampart, and Reprisal that give you more damage taking ability. Other buffs like Mercy will boost your attack power for a short period.
