Indie developer and publisher Clever Trickster has announced its brand-new fantasy casual management game, Magic Forge Tycoon. Magic Forge Tycoon will arrive on PC Steam in 2026, while a closed beta will take place sometime later this year, for which subscriptions are now live. If you always wanted to run your very own forge, Magic Forge Tycoon will let you do just that, as in this game, you would run your own forge, expand it, master the trade, and see your creations shape the destiny of nations.

Magic Forge Tycoon is all about forging weapons using your hammer. You must manage and run your very own astral forge in which you will craft enchanted weapons and decide the fate of warring kingdoms. It is not just a weapon creating sim because you will also need to master the economy, fulfill demanding contracts from rulers and nobles as you carve your name in the world’s greatest blacksmiths.
There are four main pillars in the gameplay of Magic Forge Tycoon. You will master the art of forging, expand and upgrade your workshop, control the economy and trade, and influence wars and politics with your creations. For forging, you will select the best weapon patterns, fine-tune every setting, and apply the perfect enchantments for quality. You will need to find a balance between style and durability to ensure that you can create exceptional weapons.
As you upgrade your technologies and expand your forge, you will speed up production and refine your creations. Upgrading the forge grants access to new and better crafting techniques and increased production capacity. You can also research new weapon designs and exotic resources. As you buy and sell materials in a dynamic market, resources will be affected by wars, alliances, and scarcity. You will need to manage these rare resources by either stockpiling them, anticipating their future prices, and considering kingdom conflicts to suit your business.
You can also control the war by selling weapons and completing contracts for rival factions, and changing the war dynamics. Completing these favors and contracts will grant you Favor Points, political perks, and exclusive forge bonuses, which can change how you craft your weapons. Your economic choices will shape the kingdom’s future.
Magic Forge Tycoon is slated for release on PC via Steam, Steam Deck, and Mac in January 2026. A Steam page for the game is now live, where you can add it to your wishlist to remain updated on future news and updates.
