The Division 2 DC Outskirts: Expeditions, Matchmaking in Raids Coming Soon

Division 2 Expeditions Matchmaking

Ubisoft has announced the release date for the upcoming The Division 2 DC Outskirts: Expeditions along with a matchmaking feature for Raids. According to the official press release, the first major content for The Division 2 from its Year 1 content plan is arriving on July 23 for Year 1 Pass Holders and everyone on July 30, 2019. The best part of this update is that it is free for all players.

The two major content additions headlining this update are Episode 1 of D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions and the story missions included along with these expeditions. The story picks up right from the point where the main campaign left off.

You will get to play two brand new missions Camp White Oak and Manning National Zoo. Your main goal here is to find a lost convoy and eliminate the Outcast leader Emeline Shaw.

On the other hand, Expeditions are split into different wings which the players can complete. Each wing has a unique theme and tone and will be released on a week-by-week basis.

If the player manages to complete all three wings, they will be granted exclusive access to a treasure room. Here they will find exotic weapons and gear.

Along with this, Year 1 Pass Holders will also get access to exclusive Classified Assignments. These are based in Central Aquarium and NSA Site B13. Along with these, players will be able to obtain some new weapons as well.

The new weapons and gear include the exotic Diamondback Rifle, exotic BTSU Datagloves, Carbine 7, and Stoner LMG. Apart from these content additions, the update will also bring with it some tweaks and fixes.

Players will now have a brand new ‘Discovery’ difficulty in Operation Dark Hours raid that will allow them to use matchmaking. This was one of the most wanted features ever since the raid was released.

Discovery mode will be excellent for players who want to try out the raid in an easier and more comforting environment. Crafting will also max out at Gear Score 500 from now onwards. Blueprint sharing will also be added to the game between the characters.

Previously, Ubisoft added the brand new Gunner Specialization in the game.
