Dell Reveals the New G15 Ryzen Edition Gaming Laptop Featuring Ryzen 5000 H-Series, RTX 3060 GPU

Dell has revealed the G15 Ryzen Edition gaming laptop which is powered by the AMD Ryzen 5000 H Cezanne series processors and up to an NVIDIA RTX 3060 graphics card. The Dell G15 Ryzen Edition has been released alongside the more premium Alienware m15.

Dell is launching the 15-inch Dell G15 Ryzen Edition gaming laptop and it is for people who still want to experience AMD’s fast Ryzen 5000 H-series processors, along with an Nvidia RTX 3060 graphics chip, but for a lower price. Dell has actually launched the Intel-based version of this model already in China and now the Ryzen version will be coming out as well.

The base model specifications of the G15 Ryzen Edition include 8 GB of DDR4 RAM running at 3,200 MHz speed and 256GB of NVMe M.2 storage. The base model will be powered by a Ryzen 5 5600H Hexa-core processor and an Nvidia RTX 3060 with 6GB of VRAM.

It can have up to a 2TB SSD and can be configured to have either a 15.6″ FHD display at 120Hz or 165Hz. The G15 and G15 Ryzen Edition feature up to 32GB of DDR4 memory, but the G15 Ryzen Edition features DDR4-3200 memory while the G15 features DDR4-2933 memory.

The CPU be upgraded up to the Ryzen 7 5800H octa-core CPU. The more powerful processor can also come with a bigger six-cell 86Wh battery. Dell says a 360Hz refresh rate screen will be available later in the spring. Dell says the new G15 has adopted an Alienware-inspired thermal design to keep it running efficiently, and it looks like that as well.

This laptop ships by default with a non-backlit, spill-resistant keyboard. It can be upgraded to orange backlighting beneath the entire keyboard and emphasized WASD. There is a four-zone RGB backlit keyboard option as well.

Dell G15 Ryzen Edition will be available in the U.S. on May 4 and will have a starting price of 900 USD.
