Pride’s Move List
We have detailed Pride’s basic attacks below.
Protective Shield
This is not really an offensive move but Pride forms a protective shield around herself which remains active until Fury destroys it. With the shield on, you cannot damage Pride. You can break the Protective Shield with a charged Mallet of Scorn hit or an Arcane Counter.
Leaping Slash
Pride will spin towards Fury and then slash from left to right going downwards. You can dodge left to evade this attack and get behind her to attack.
Spinning Combo
Pride will take out her sword and start spinning it across the arena in Fury’s direction. You can dodge backwards to avoid the spin attack and the run away to avoid the overhand strike which always follows the spin.
Arcane Orbs
Pride’s sword will glow blue and then shoot some Arcane projectiles towards you. You can avoid these projectiles by constantly dodging away from here.
Statue Energy Beam
Pride will summon a statue to the battle which will glide around the arena and fire a beam at Fury. The beam will damage Fury as well as make her stumble which is very annoying.
Divebomb
Pride will often fly high in the air and then land at Fury’s location with her sword pointing out. Dodge as soon as she starts coming down at Fury and use Arcane Counter to deal some damage.
Boss Battle Tips
You might think that Pride is just like Lust but actually their fighting styles are very different from each other. She also uses her sword in combat but what really differs her from Lust is Pride’s protective shield. You will need to get rid of the shield in order to damage Pride. Although you regular attacks will weaken the shield but use a charged attack to get rid of it in one hit.
Once the shield is destroyed, you can attack Pride and land a full combo as she will drop to her knees. Use this window to take away a decent chunk of her health. Break through her first two shield using the same tactics. If she attacks, you will need to dodge and use Arcane Counters to avoid them. Soon Pride will summon a statue to the battle which is more annoying than damaging.
When the statue is summoned, it is best if you switch to Stasis and use Stasis Shield to make yourself safe from the Statue’s annoying beam. If you shield is active, you can focus on Pride herself and ignore the statue completely. Pride will soon form another shield around herself. Use the same tactics to bring her down.
