Envy’s Move List
Envy comes with a variety of deadly attacks and if you are not careful, you will be killed quickly. We have detailed the move set below.
Arcane Meteor
During the battle, Envy will raise her right hand and will summon a large amount of energy from the air. At this point, a purple circle will appear below Fury which will show the dropping location of the energy ball from the sky. To avoid this attack, simply dodge and get out of the purple circle when the arcane meteor is coming down on you.
Staff Sweep
If you get close to Envy, she will swing her staff in a long sweeping arc horizontally which will hit you very easily if you do not dodge to the side. When the staff turns green, it is the correct time to dodge this attack. Watch out for a following attack.
Teleport Shockwave
After you have dealt a decent amount of damage to Envy, she will spin in place and teleport to a higher place in the air. At this point, you must track the trail of the Arcane energy. Envy will soon drop to the ground and release massive energy while doing so. You can counter this attack by double jumping easily. However, Envy will perform this attack three times in a row so be ready for the next one.
Arcane Explosion
As the battle phases transition, Envy will continue to absorb Arcane energy and then release a massive explosion of Arcane energy which cannot be dodged. When you see her charging up, get it close and hit her repeatedly to interrupt the attack with an Aerial Cross Slash.
Boss Battle Tips
Now that you know the basic attacks of the boss, you should be ready to tackle the boss. The battle with Envy is spread over three phases with Envy destroying the ground after each phase and making you fall deeper into the building. We recommend that during these battle phase transitions, consume any shards that you might need to refill bars.
During the battle, keep on the offensive and watch out for the purple circle on the floor. If it appears, you need to make sure that you are out of this circle’s radius. If you manage to get up close to Envy, she will attack with her staff, at this point you can use an Arcane Counter. For the second staff swing, get away from her. Do not be hasty or you will end ep being hit instead.
When she is pounding the floor, double jump to avoid the deadly shockwave and make your move after the third shockwave. Get up close and land some attacks but then be ready to block again. Save your Wrath Attacks until the third phase of the battle. When you see Envy in the air and stopping her offence in order to charge, quickly interrupt the attack.
Keep at it and you will defeat her once she has taken you down a third time. The only attack you need to really watch out for is the Arcane Explosion as this attack cannot be dodged. Other than that, all attacks can be easily dodged or countered in the game. Defeat Envy and you will be left with six more bosses to go.
