How to Get the Climbing Armor Set in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Like any armor set in the game, The Climbing Armor set is made up of three Climbing Armor pieces. Each of the three pieces is located in different regions of the game. Let’s look at all the locations and how to get all three Climbing Armor pieces.

Climbing Boots Armor Piece

This armor piece can be found inside a cave called the Upland Zorana Byroad, just north of Ralis Pond and close to the Zora River to the east. As you enter the cave, you will first come to an area with a pool of water. The path that takes you deeper into the cave splits in two directions, and you need to go to the one on the right.

Up ahead, you will find an enemy that you can run past if you don’t want to engage. Head over to the vine wall and use any sharp weapon or fire item to remove the obstacle blocking your way. You can use a bomb flower, but can also use an axe or a sword to chip away the blockage.

In the next area, you will see a lot of ruins and statues and all you have to do is to get across. You can either jump over the statues or swim toward the other end. You will now come to a door with water filled inside it. Use your Ultrahand ability to pull it open and drain the water. Inside you will find a chest containing the Climbing Boots for the Climbing Armor set.

Climber’s Bandanna Armor Piece

The next armor piece is the headgear for the Climbing Armor set called the Climber’s Bandanna. This armor piece is also found inside another cave called Ploymus Mountain Cave. This cave is east in Zora’s Domain near the Lulu Lake west of Ploymus Mountain.

The path inside that leads to the armor piece is fairly straightforward but can be troublesome because of the terrain that Link will have to reach the end. In addition, the rain and the wetness of the Lulu Lake will compromise Link’s stability when climbing, due to the wetness.

Continue down the path in this cave and you will find the chest inside with Climber’s Bandanna armor piece.

Climbing Gear Armor Piece

The last armor piece to make up the Climbing Gear Armor set is the Climbing Gear chest piece, located in the North Hyrule Plain Cave. This cave is northwest of Lookout Landing.

The entrance of the cave will have Like Like enemies that you first have to beat and then climb the wall that takes you up towards the waterfalls. After fighting the enemy here, go towards the waterfall on the top. Here you will find a room containing the chest with the Climbing Gear inside.
