Retro Shooter Beyond Sunset Inspired by Doom and Uses Original Doom Engine

Recently announced retro shooter Beyond Sunset is inspired by games like Doom and Deux Ex. So much so that the game has been built on the original Doom engine. The game will launch next Summer 2023.

Welcome to a high-octane cyberpunk first-person shooter with RPG elements. You are Lucy, an enhanced street samurai searching for lost memories. Fight yakuza, zombies & robots in large, open, interactive levels. Inspired by Doom Eternal & Deus Ex, made using a modernized Doom II engine!

In Beyond Sunset, you awake from cryostasis with lost memories hidden in the fog of hypersleep. You immediately begin manifesting powerful abilities, lightning-fast reactions, and innate combat skills giving you supernatural agility. Recognizing your talents, a mysterious woman named Yuri offers you a deal, where in exchange for giving you your memories back, you need to use these powers to become a street samurai in the crime-ridden, plague-stricken Sunset City.

As you progress, you will get to upgrade and develop Lucy to grow more resilient and powerful. Follow this by exploring the large, open, interactive levels full of NPCs that you can talk to.
