Ubisoft and Massive Studio have officially announced From the Ashes, the second expansion for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – From the Ashes launches on December 19, 2025, on Ubisoft+, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Ubisoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store. It is slated for release alongside the theatrical release of Avatar: Fire and Ash. The new expansion will take you back to a section of the Western Frontier, including the Kinglor Forest and a brand-new area, and experience a new story of vengeance and survival.

The new expansion is developed in collaboration with Lightstorm Entertainment and Disney, and it sees you embarking on the journey of So’lek, a battle-hardened Na’vi warrior from the Trr’ong clan. After a brutal attack on your clan by the RDA and their new allies, the Ash clan, So’lek awakens to a world in flames and his Sarentu family scattered. Your journey is driven by grief and vengeance as you set out to reunite your family and protect your loved ones.

As you can see from the trailer, From the Ashes is set in a much darker tone than the base game and its first DLC. While it may return to a previously available location in the game, it allows for a fresh perspective with a brand-new third-person view, which will arrive alongside the new expansion. The option to start a New game + is also part of this update. It will be available as a standalone purchase to all players who own the base game, priced at $24.99, and a special Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – From the Ashes Edition will also launch, which will include the base game and From the Ashes expansion, priced at $39.99.
This bundle will also include the Floating Mountains Bonus Content, which includes three distinct banshee color patterns inspired by the Valley of Mo’ara in Pandora – The World of Avatar. All players who pre-order the From the Ashes expansion or purchase the From the Ashes edition will receive the Floating Mountains bonus content. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is currently available on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft+, alongside PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
