We have compiled a list of all different location types that you can explore in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and what you will be required to do to complete them. To uncover these locations you must physically travel to them and then they will be revealed on the map. Initially, all locations will be marked as a simple question mark.

Initially marked as question marks, once you get close to these locations, they will be revealed and you will earn some bonus XP. Not all bonus locations are marked on the map so sometimes going off the beaten path can be quite rewarding.

If you come across a location that has a completion attached with it, completing that task will earn you some bonus XP as well. Some of the locations will guide you to further areas where you will be required to solve puzzles and earn more rewards.

Let us look at these locations below.

Animal Den – Animal Dens require you to find and kill the Elite Animal present there.

Battleground – Battlegrounds require you to join as an attacker or defender and defeat the opposing side.

Camp – Camps are small sites where you will be required to kill specific enemies, rescue hostages and loot treasure.

Cave – Caves are dark and found mostly in mountains. Enter them, kill specific enemies and return with the loot.

Dwelling – Dwellings are small residing places for bad guys. Enter them, kill enemies and loot the treasures.

Fort – Forts are much bigger and have more enemies in them. You will be required to kill enemies, burn war supplies and loot their treasure to complete them.

Fortress – Fortresses are the hardest of all places. You will be required to kill specific enemies in there and then escape with the loot and your life.

Leader House – These are houses of leaders. Enter them, find and kill the leaders, burn war supplies and loot treasures on your way out.

Legendary Animal Den – Similar to Animal Den but you will encounter a Legendary Animal here.

Military Camps – Military training camps where trained soldiers are located. Kill specific enemies, burn war supplies and loot whatever treasure you can find.

Mysterious Site – Find treasure on these mysterious sites. They are also unlocked to be used as fast travel locations.

Port – Kill specific enemies here, burn war supplies and free any hostages located there.

Quarry Camp – Enter and kill enemies. Burn war supplies and claim the treasure as your own.

Ruins – Kill specific enemies, find the hidden ancient tablet and loot treasure found in them.

Tomb – Enter and find the hidden ancient stele

Underwater Locations – These are underwater locations spread in waters of the map. Head to these locations and find the sinking treasure.

Viewpoint – These are used to reveal the map of the region and unlock a fast travel location.
