In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Abilities are categorized by three special characteristics; Hunter, Warrior and Assassin.
Hunter Abilities focus ranged combat abilities that use the bow. Warrior abilities are focused more on the close ranged combat, mainly melee combat attacks, while Assassin Abilities are focused on being stealthier and efficient.
Hunter Abilities
Spread Shot
This ability allows you to shoot 3 arrows at the same time, which will deal 100% Hunter Damage. Upgrading to Level 2 will allow you to shoot 5 arrows with the allowance of Special Arrows, while Upgrading to Level 3 will allow you to use 7 arrows that can be used to break enemy shields with a number of shots.
Sixth Sense
This ability slows down time for about 5 seconds when you are spotted by an enemy. When aimed during the slowed down time, the aimed arrows lock onto the enemy and deal 150% damage.
Upgrading to Level 2 adds an additional second to the slowed down time, bringing to a total of 6 seconds and aimed arrows deal 175% damage. While Upgrading further to Level 3 will total the time to 8 seconds, and deal 200% damage onto enemies.
Predator Shot
This ability allows you to zoom and shoot an arrow that will deal a massive 350% damage onto enemy and allows the arrow to travel 25% father. Leveling up to level 2 will increase the damage to 450% and the arrow will travel 8% farther. Upgrading to Level 3 will increase the damage to 550% while the arrow can travel 150% farther.
Multi-Shot
This ability allows locking onto 4 enemy targets at the same time and shooting one arrow each that deals 150% damage. Upgrading to Level 2 will increase the damage to 200% and locks on to 6 targets. Level 3 will allow you to lock onto 8 enemies and increases the damage to 250%.
Arrow Master
This ability allows you to craft Paralyzing Arrows to knock out enemies. Upgrading to Level 2 allows you to craft Poison and Fire Arrows, while Level 3 will enable you to craft Explosive Arrows.
Devastating Shot
This ability allows you to shoot arrows that deal 290% damage to enemies, while Poison and Fire Arrow damage is increased 150%. Upgrading to Level 2 will increase the damage to 350%, while upgrading to Level 3 will increase it to 400% damage.
Rain of Destruction
This ability allows you to rain down a volley of arrows, 3 meters around you which deal 300% damage to enemies. Leveling this ability up increases the radius to 5 meters, brings up damage to 350%, while upgrading to Level 3 will increase the damage to 450%.
Beast Master
Wolves that are knocked can be tamed in this ability. Bear in mind this ability only allows you to tame wild animals while elite animals cannot be tamed. Upgrading to level 2 allows you to tame lions, lynx and leopards. Leveling up to Level 3 will allow you to tame bears.
Archery Master
This ability increases Hunter Damage by 20%. Upgrading to Level 2 will increase the Hunter Damage by 30%, while Level 3 will increase the damage by 40%.
Ghost Arrows of Artemis
This ability allows you to shoot a ghost arrow that can go through shield, walls and even enemies while dealing 260% damage.
Overpower Bow Strike
This ability allows you to shoot charged arrows that deal 1000% Hunter Damage which explodes on impact. Upgrading to Level 2 increases the damage to 1200%. Upgrading to Level 3 increases the damage to 1500%.
Warrior Abilities
Sparta Kick
This ability allows you to kick and knock back enemies while dealing 150% damage. Upgrading to Level 2 increases the damage to 200%. Upgrading to Level 3 increases damage to 250%.
Bull Rush
In this ability, you can rush through enemies and knock them down while dealing 250% damage. Upgrading to Level 2 will increase the damage to 300%. Upgrading to Level 3 increases the damage to 400%.
Charged Heavy Attack
This ability allows you to attack the enemy using a powerful attack that knocks enemies away. Upgrading to Level 2 increases the damage by 150%. Upgrading to Level 3 reduces the charge duration by 25%.
Weapons Master
Unlocking this ability will increase Warrior damage by 20%. Leveling up this skill increases damage by 30%. Upgrading to Level 3 increases damage by 40%.
Second Wind
This ability refills your max Health by 25%. Upgrading to Level 2 increases max Health to 35%. Upgrading to Level 3 increases to 50% max Health.
Shield Breaker
This ability allows you to break small enemy shields and deal 150% Warrior Damage. Upgrading to Level 2 allows you to break all shields and stun the enemy, while also dealing 160% damage. Upgrading to Level 3 will increase the damage 250% while the shield explodes with shrapnel that can deal damage to surrounding enemies.
Gear Master
This ability increases your armor by 30%. Upgrading to Level 2 increases armor by 60%. Upgrading additionally to Level 3 increases the armor by 90%.
Ring of Chaos
This allows the player t send a shocking stun blast that stuns enemies within a 3 meter radius and deals 150% damage to enemies. Upgrading this skill to level 2 increases the area to 5 meters and damage to 180%. Upgrading to Level 3 will increase the radius to 7 meters and increases the damage to 250%.
Flaming Attacks
Melee weapons and Arrows will deal Fire damage to enemies for duration of 15 seconds. Upgrading to Level 2 increases the duration to 20 seconds. Upgrading further to Level 3 increases the time to 25 seconds while no cool down time is required.
Fire Mastery
In this ability, Fire Buildup increases by 25%. Upgrading to Level 2 increases Fire Buildup increased by 40% and increases duration by 4 seconds. Upgrading to Level 3 increases Fire Buildup by 60% and increases duration by 6 seconds, while burning damage is also increased by 40%.
Overpower Attacks
This ability allows you to use massive powerful attacks with various weapons. Upgrading to level 2 increases damage and efficiency. Upgrading further will also increase damage and efficiency.
Battlecry of Ares
This ability allows you to deal 50% damage for 20 seconds while also rendering enemy attacks as non lethal.
Assassin Abilities
Venomous Attacks
In this ability, Melee weapons and Arrows will inflict Poison damage for a duration of 15 seconds, which makes the enemies intoxicated, reducing their armor and more prone to taking damage. Upgrading to Level 2 increases the duration to 20 seconds. Upgrading to Level 3 will increase the time duration to 25 seconds while no cool down is required.
Shadow Assassin
This ability allows increased damage when you assassinate or knockout an enemy. This ability also allows you to loot enemies after being assassinated. While CRIT damage is increased by 15%. Upgrading to level 2 increases damage by 30%, Critical Damage by 25%. Upgrading to Level 3 increases damage to 40%, Critical damage by 50%.
Revelation
This ability allows you to reveal all secrets by summoning Athena’s sight. This reveals Chests and Hidden passages in a radius of 15 meters, and tags all enemies around. Upgrading to level increases the radius to 20 meters. Upgrading further to Level 3 increases the radius to 30 meters.
Poison Mastery
This ability increases Venomous Attack Poison buildup by 25%. Upgrading to level 2 increases the buildup to 40% and increasing the duration to 4 seconds. Upgrading to level 3 increases buildup by 60% and increases the duration by 6 seconds.
Rush Assassination
This ability allows you to launch the Spear of Leonidas at a distant enemy t deal a 110% damage. Upgrading this skill to level 2 increases the damage to 130%, while upgrading to level 3 increases the damage to 150%.
Vanish
This ability allows you to shine a bright light that stuns enemy for 6 seconds. Leveling up increases the time to 8 seconds. Further leveling up to level 3 increases the duration of stunning enemies to 10 seconds.
Hero Strike
This ability allows you to inflict 60% damage with the Spear of Leonidas. Upgrading this skill to level 2 increases the damage to 80%, while level 3 take the damage up 100%
Critical Assassination
This ability allows you to launch a Stealth attack with precision dealing 200% damage. Upgrading to Level 2 increases damage to 250%, while Level 3 increases to 300% damage.
Call to Arms
This ability allows you to summon a Lieutenant who can distract enemies for 30 seconds.
Slow time
This ability allows you to move faster than Hermes as time is slowed down for 5 seconds, increasing levels will increase the time by 7 seconds, and further by 10 seconds.
Stealth Master
This ability reduces noise from movement and allows you to become a silent killer. Level 2 allows reduces the noise further.
Shadow of Nyx
This ability allows you to become invisible as a shadow. This skill can be unlocked once you reach Level 23 in experience.
Best skills to Unlock in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
The first skill that you need is the Sparta Kick; this allows you to kick away enemies that quickly surround you. The ability also allows enemies to submit to you which you can add to the crew.
The second Ability is the Venomous Attacks in Assassins Abilities. These can deal a great damage to enemies with poison. This allows you to kill an enemy from a distance while ensuring that the damage kills the enemy in a few shots. You can also use Fire Blades as they too deal a lot of damage to enemies.
