Crimson Desert Money Farming Guide – How to Get Money Quick

Crimson Desert Money Farming Guide

This Crimson Desert Money Farming Guide details all tips and tricks to farm money easily. Starting in Crimson Desert can feel rough. Kliff is basically broke and thrown into a huge world with no real resources. While the main story pushes you toward reuniting the Greymanes, having some money early on makes everything smoother, from travel to survival.

Money Farming Guide – Crimson Desert

Before you start earning properly, it helps to know how money works. The game uses three types of currency. Copper is the most basic and is what you will earn the most at the start. One hundred Copper equals one Silver, which becomes your main working currency.

Then there are Gold Bars. These are very valuable, with each one worth 500 Silver. They are mostly used for investing rather than everyday spending, so think of them as long-term money rather than quick cash.

Now, we will proceed to how we can earn/farm money.

Breaking Into the Bank Storeroom

One of the fastest early methods is stealing from the bank in Hernand. This is on the north side of the town. It sounds risky, but it is actually pretty manageable.

First, you will need a mask to enable stealing actions. You can get one by defeating bandits, completing a Jeffrey bounty outside the jail, or buying it cheaply for 10 coppers from a shady merchant, Grimrak. He is a Back Alley Merchant at the Cathedral. You will also need a key, which can either drop from enemies or be purchased from Grimrak for 30 coppers.

Once ready, head into the bank and unlock the side room. After entering, lock the door behind you. Inside, you will find strongboxes and chests. These are your main targets. As you steal, a meter will appear, but as long as no one catches you, you are safe.

Grab as much as you can, especially strongboxes, since they give better rewards. Just be cautious about one thing: after leaving the locked room, make sure the theft meter is off. The amount of money you get is random, so if the loot feels weak, you can reload your save and try again. While strongboxes don’t come back, the regular chests refill after a few in-game days, making this a repeatable method.

Sneaking a Gold Bar from Lioncrest Manor

A very valuable early reward can be found at Lioncrest Manor, located northwest of Hernand. Inside the manor, there is a hidden Gold Bar placed in the fireplace on the ground floor. Getting it isn’t straightforward, though you will need to sneak your way in.

Instead of entering from the front, go around to the back of the manor and look up at the second floor. You will see wooden windows that you can climb to. Pick one; the southern window works well. Hang onto the ledge, open it, and quietly enter the building.

Once you enter the manor, move downstairs into the main hall. Guards will be nearby, but they won’t bother you unless they catch you doing something suspicious. Find the fireplace next to a small table. That is where the Gold Bar is hidden. Before you try to steal it, take a moment to prepare.

First, make a manual save. If you get caught, you will be sent to jail and hit with a heavy fine, so having a backup save is important. Second, watch the guard walking nearby and learn his movement pattern.

The trick is to wait until the guard walks away into the hallway on your right. As soon as he leaves your area, quickly steal the Gold Bar from the fireplace. Timing matters here.

After taking it, don’t panic and run. It is actually safer to stay near the fireplace and move slightly into the nearby corner. If you timed everything correctly, the alert meter will disappear before the guard returns, and you will get away clean.

This gives you a free Gold Bar early in the game, which you can either sell for a big amount of Silver or use later for investment to earn even more money.

Playing the Archery Minigame

If you don’t want to steal, the archery minigame is a safe and repeatable way to earn money.

It costs a small amount of 80 Copper to play, and rounds are quick. At first, profits are small, but as you improve, you will start earning extra Copper or even Silver per round.

A helpful trick is to move your aim back to the center after each shot. This makes it easier to quickly react to new targets and improves your overall performance.

Mining at the Diamond Cave

After completing a mining-related side quest, you will get a pickaxe. With it, you can visit a cave in the Hernand Highlands.

Inside, you will find 11 diamonds and other materials. Diamonds sell for 2.28 Silver each, and there are enough in the cave to make a decent profit in one run. You can also mine smaller resources like stalactites for extra Copper.

Winning Money in the Duo Game

If you head above the inn in Hernand, where you first try arm wrestling, you will unlock a small room where you can play a minigame called Duo. It works a bit like poker but is faster and simpler to understand. To join a game, you will need to pay 15 Silver.

In Duo, you are given two sticks, each with its own value and color. These combine to form your hand, and depending on the combination, your chances of winning change. You can check the hand rankings to get a better idea of how strong your position is.

Before betting starts, one stick from each player is revealed. This gives you a hint about what your opponents might have, so you can decide whether to play it safe or take a risk. There is only one round of betting, so decisions need to be quick and smart. If your hand looks weak, you can fold, but playing aggressively can sometimes pay off.

One interesting twist is that opponents can cheat. If you suspect cheating and call it correctly, you immediately win part of their chips. If you successfully catch cheating three times during your playthrough, you will eventually unlock the ability to cheat yourself, giving you another advantage at the table.

Farming Gold Bars from Nobles

You can go a step further and pickpocket Gold Bars directly from wealthy NPCs. Some nobles carry them, and you can collect several in a short time.

To check what a noble is carrying, use your lantern to inspect them. Most will only have basic items, but occasionally you will spot a Gold Bar, which appears as a long, bar-shaped item.

You will usually find these nobles gathered near places like manors, banks, and churches. One of the best spots is a manor courtyard in Hernand, especially during late morning to early afternoon when multiple nobles gather in one place.

For efficient farming, make a save before checking them. Walk through the area, inspect each noble, and if none have a Gold Bar, reload your save and try again. Once you find one carrying a Gold Bar, carefully move close and pickpocket it, then quickly leave the area to avoid getting caught.

After escaping, return, save again, and repeat the process. By doing this multiple times, you can stack up a good number of Gold Bars fairly quickly.
