This Crimson Desert Cooking Recipes Guide details all cooking recipes, where to find them, and the ingredients required to cook them in the game. Cooking in Crimson Desert is a very useful system that lets you turn the items you collect into powerful food. These meals help you recover health, refill stamina, and even protect you from elemental damage during fights. At the start, you only know a few recipes, but you can mix different ingredients to make your own food.
Cooking Recipes Guide – Crimson Desert
You don’t have to rely only on finding recipes in books or locations in the game. You can also discover them by trying different ingredient combinations. When you successfully create a dish without knowing it beforehand, you gain an “insight”. After repeating this three times, the recipe becomes permanently unlocked.
Another important point is that ingredients are flexible. Most items belong to a category, so you can swap them with similar ones. For example, if a recipe needs oats, you can use any grain, like lentils, instead. However, some items, such as salt, sugar, cooking oil, water, and fish fillets, cannot be replaced.
Also, every time you unlock a recipe, you automatically gain higher versions of it that use more ingredients for better effects. For simplicity, only the base recipes are listed below.

These are the simplest recipes in the game. Each one only needs a single ingredient, and you already know all of them from the start.

- Vegetables: Potato, carrot, onion, flax, cucumber, turnip, beet, garlic, sweet potato, pumpkin, cabbage, parsley, wild garlic, asparagus, fennel.
- Grains: Lentils, peas, beans, barley, wheat, buckwheat, corn, oats.
- Pincers: Freshwater clam, blue crab, freshwater crab, crayfish.
