When you are in the clinic basement area in Resident Evil Requiem, you will eventually reach a point where your path is blocked by a forklift. To continue moving forward and help Grace escape, you must locate the forklift key hidden somewhere there. This part of the basement also involves restoring power and collecting important items needed for progression.
Forklift Key Guide – Resident Evil Requiem
After you reach the basement while searching for Emily and the last of the three quartzes, your goal is to activate the electrical system. To do this, you need to collect the joint plugs from the Workshop and the Furnace. Once you have both items, go to the Collection Pool area. Remove the locked cover on the machine and place the joint plugs inside it.
When you do this, it will restore the power to the nearby sections of the basement, allowing you to move deeper into the processing area.
Reaching the Processing Area
After you restore the power, follow the available path forward through the basement. Eventually, you will come across a floor with a gap that Grace cannot jump across. Since the direct route is blocked and you cannot jump over, look to the left side of the area for a fan vent opening.
Crawl through this vent and follow it until it leads you to the main processing area of the basement.
Forklift Key Location
Once you enter the processing area, continue walking along the path until you reach the end of the section. You will notice another forklift nearby. The forklift key can be found on the right side of this forklift. Pick it up before leaving the area.
Using the Forklift Key
Use the key on the forklift located in the processing area. Using it will move the machine and reveal a hidden room that contains a few useful items worth collecting.
After that, return to the forklift in the Workshop and use the key there as well. Moving this forklift opens a new route that leads to the opposite side of the processing section. It will also allow you to continue progressing through the basement.
Progressing Toward the Exit
With the new path open, you can now continue searching the area and collect the final joint plug needed for the power system. After you gather the remaining power core, take it to the far end of the basement. Placing the power cores in the correct slots will unlock the cell doors and restore power to the elevator.
Once the elevator is active, Grace can finally leave the basement and escape the clinic.
