Resident Evil Requiem Files Locations Guide

This Resident Evil Requiem Files Locations Guide details the locations of all of the files that you can collect in the game. In Resident Evil 9: Requiem, there are a total of 75 collectible files scattered throughout the story. Picking up every file unlocks the Case Closed trophy/achievement. These files contain notes, reports, code, and documents that provide important background information on the game’s events and characters.

Files Locations Guide – Resident Evil Requiem

You can view the collected files at any time from the Files tab. This tab is available in the menu next to your inventory. You can also keep track of your progress through the Case Closed tab under the Challenges tab.

Keep in mind that the game does not include chapter select, so files can be missed if you progress too far. Keeping multiple manuals saved in different areas helps if you need to return and collect anything you missed.

The following table shows all the locations where you can obtain the files in Resident Evil Requiem.

Wrenwood

File #	File Name	Location & How to Obtain
1	Investigation Report	You will start the game with this file already in your inventory. Open the Items menu, inspect the folder, rotate it, and interact with the photograph inside to read the document. This is the first file you will encounter.
2	Wrenwood City Guide	While walking along the street, check the city map board on the right side of the road to pick up this guide.
3	Hotel Pamphlet	You will find it inside the Hotel Lobby. Unlock the door with the Old Key. Then move forward into the room with the staircase. The pamphlet can be found lying on the floor in this area.
4	Notice of Closure	In the office area, go behind the reception desk. Then you will see a path that will take you to the back room. Open the blue drawer to collect this document.
5	Alyssa’s Journal	Obtained automatically as part of the story progression, so you won’t need to search for it.
6	Report on Victor Gideon	This file is also given automatically during a cutscene. This will happen just before you begin changing to Leon for the first time.

Care Center at Rhodes Hill – Grace Section

7	Progress Notes	This will be found in Room 203. When you first regain control of Grace, look around Room 203. The file is sitting on a small table inside the room.
8	Note on Cardboard Box	This will be found in Room 202. Enter Room 202 and check the closet. The closet will open, and a note appears there after you collect the Lighter from Room 201.

Care Center – Grace Second Visit

9	Care Center Pamphlet	You can find this in the Guard Office. When you enter the Guard Office safe room, check the small table beside the couch. This room has a typewriter in it.
10	Whiteboard Scrawl	Still inside the Guard Office, inspect the whiteboard on the wall close to the exit door.
11	Folded Note	This will be found in the Gallery. When you walk past the Bar & Lounge on the second floor of the West Wing, continue along the way until you can turn left. Examine the white coat hanging on the wall to find the note.
12	Copy of an Email to a Manager	Enter the Chairman’s Office. The document is sitting on a cupboard inside the room.
13	Note to the Chairman	Check the trash bin to retrieve this note, which is in the backroom of the Chairman’s Office.
14	Chairman’s Note	After using the Pencil in the Chairman’s Office to shade over the note that we found, the hidden message becomes readable and counts as this file.
15	Blood Compound Synthesis	Once you unlock the East Wing from the Central Hall, continue past the Examination Room and into the Blood Lab. The file can be found on a table inside the lab.
16	Safe Replacements	In the Waiting Room, check the area behind the counter; you will find this file. It is next to the open safe.
17	Lead Researcher’s Picture 2	Inside the Lead Researcher’s Office safe room on the second floor. Go into the back room and inspect the cupboard.
18	Lead Researcher’s Picture 1	In the same office, examine the desk to find this photograph.
19	Lead Researcher’s Picture 3	Also located in the Lead Researcher’s Office, this framed picture can be found displayed on the desk.
20	Lead Researcher’s Message	Still in the same Lead Researcher’s room, check another cupboard to obtain the message.
21	Victor’s Journal Entry	Return to the Blood Lab and unlock the Level 1 door nearby. The journal entry is found on a table inside the room.
22	Construction Notice	Enter the West Wing corridor south of the Kitchen, open the Level 1 locked gate. The notice is written on a whiteboard in the next hallway, near the Custodian’s Office.
23	Bar & Lounge Safe Code	After you leave the garage, go up by taking the stairs to reach the Office. The safe code document is on the first desk you see.
24	Background Check	Still inside the Office, check the desk located in the back-right corner of the room.
25	Disposal Team Report	From the Office, enter the Records Room on the right side. Walk to the middle row of shelves and inspect the cardboard box at the end to collect the report.
26	Examination Room Safe Code	Return to the East Wing 2nd Floor, the same area where you previously encountered the large Chunk creature. Inside the room where the monster first appeared, check a locker to collect the safe code.
27	Patient Medical Records	Inside the Conference Room, the same room where you encounter a zombie that is singing. Look at the desk in the room to pick up the records.
28	Unlocking the Organ Transport Box	Go to the Lead Researcher’s Office backroom and interact with the locked Puzzle Box. Use Corrosive on the padlock to open it. After solving the symbol puzzle, the notebook inside the box contains this file. Code to open is: Star, Sun, Moon, Sun.
29	Spencer’s Research I	This specific document is found together with the previous file, both located inside the leatherbound notebook within the Puzzle Box.
30	Double Mutation	Enter the Isolation Ward by unlocking the green Level 2 Wristband door located in the north-east corner of the East Wing. It is between the Blood Lab and the Waiting Room. Inside the office, on the right side, inspect a cardboard box to obtain the file.
31	Nurse’s Log	Still in the Isolation Ward office, check the desk in the same room to find this log.

Care Center – Leon Second Part

32	Satiety Suppression Medical Records	While controlling Leon again, move through the Attic area. After passing through the next door, check the back section of the room. It is present opposite the cupboard that you push to continue the story.
33	Basement Safe Code	After leaving the attic, look at the first closet on the right side before going downstairs. Break it open using Leon’s Hatchet to retrieve the code.
34	Dishwasher’s Note	This note can be found inside a breakable closet near the Chairman’s Office. Head left from the office and smash the closet to reveal it.

Care Center Basement – Grace

35	Special Directive for Raccoon City	Automatically added to your files when you regain control of Grace after the cutscene.
36	Report on Raccoon City Syndrome	Received at the same moment as the previous file.
37	Staff Member’s Last Words	Shortly after taking control of Grace again, walk forward through the tunnel. You will find this note close to a body.
38	Operation to Eliminate “The Girl”	Inside the Security Room, which also acts as a safe room filled with CCTV monitors, you will find this file.
39	Unlocking the Cells	In the Holding Cells corridor, check the area above the lever you must pull to continue the story after the cutscene.
40	Technician’s Note	After collecting the Joint Plug, take a 90-degree turn and enter the opposite corridor to reach the Workshop. Use the Joint Plug to make your way to the Workshop. The note rests on a workbench.
41	Security Guard’s Report	Insert the Joint Plug into the door that leads to the Furnace room. Once inside, check the small office on the right side to find the report.

Care Center Courtyard – Grace

42	Visitor Record	Following the courtyard cutscene, enter the VIP Suite building. Look at the wooden cupboard inside to collect the document.
43	Note Regarding Research Results	In the next room of the VIP Suite, examine the main desk to find this note.
44	Spencer’s Research II	After activating the elevator using the helix, go to the Reception desk near the typewriter to pick up the file.
45	Subject 170 Record	From the reception point, head downstairs into the Collection & Testing Area. The document lies on a stretcher near the exit of this section.
46	Grace Ashcroft Blood Analysis Report	Continue from the previous area, go upstairs, and through the next door into the Private Lab. The report sits on a desk in the room.

Water Treatment Plant – Grace

47	Roof Hatch Manual	During the next Grace segment in the Water Treatment Plant, continue forward until you reach a safe room with a typewriter. You will also lay Emily down there. The file is placed right beside the typewriter.

East Raccoon City – Leon

48	Report on the Raccoon City Incident	This file is automatically added to your collection when Leon arrives in Raccoon City.
49	Raccoon City Incident Newspaper	After your journey starts in Raccoon City, move forward a few steps and check the ground on the right side. You will find it near some trash bags.
50	Orders for the Engineer Corps	Continue through The Applegate Hotel and follow the main path until the cutscene involving the Incomplete Bomb. Head left into the Central Camp and enter the blue BSAA tent, where the document is located near the save point and generator.
51	Battery Storage Locations	When you are in the flooded Underground Parking Garage, you will eventually reach a locked gate that requires two batteries. Look to the right side of the gate and inspect the red-lit box attached to the wall to read this file.
52	Inventory List	Shortly after the cutscene where Leon obtains the BSAA Container Keys, look immediately to the left side. The file is sitting inside an open container near the entrance to Cedarbrook Apartments.
53	Engineer Corps Note	Once you reach the roof of Cedarbrook Apartments, look beside the yellow container holding the Broken Signal Receiver story item. The note is lying right next to it.

Raccoon City Center – Leon

54	R.P.D. Perimeter Report	When you enter the R.P.D. Main Hall, check the box positioned opposite the save point to collect the report.
55	Top Secret Operation	Enter the West Office, which is the room located beside the save point. The document can be found on the first desk on the right side.
56	Record of Events	Head to the Operations Room and see the chalkboard on the wall to read the file.
57	Scavenger Hunt – Clue 2	Travel from the Operations Room down to Reception, where the shutter door is locked. Shoot the ladder above to drop it, climb up, and follow the corridor straight ahead until you reach the S.T.A.R.S. Office. The file is hidden inside a shelf on the right side; rotate it to see the clue.
58	Library Card	In the same office, S.T.A.R.S. Office, enter the small side office on the left. Open the desk drawer and wait briefly for the file to appear inside.
59	Scavenger Hunt – Clue 1	In the same office, check the brown jacket hanging between two desks opposite the entrance door. Turn the document around to read the message.
60	Barry’s To Do List	Also located in the S.T.A.R.S. Office, resting on the desk on the far-left side of the room.
61	Photograph	For this, go to the Library and climb to the upper-level walkway. Move left toward the locked wooden door and check the bookshelf nearby. There you will find a brown leather book. Open it, a photo will be there, investigate the photo present inside it. This only appears after reading the four S.T.A.R.S. Office files.

Orphanage Area

62	Toe Tag	When in the Underground Chapel, you need to pull the lever on the wall to open a door. Enter the newly opened path, and several black coffins will be inside. Find and open the one on the right side. This will give you the Toe Tag file.
63	Series 60 Results	When you are successful in escaping the Chapel, you will then make your way to the laboratory through the white corridor. Enter the first green-lit door on the right. The document will be directly ahead.
64	New Researcher’s Notebook	In the same laboratory room, walk to the back-right corner and inspect the desk to collect the notebook.

Raccoon City Center – Leon

65	Guide Pamphlet	When you start playing as Leon again, and when he returns to the Main Hall after a cutscene, immediately turn around. The pamphlet is placed on a bench on the upper eastern side of the hall.

ARK Facility – Leon

66	N0-AH Status Report	When you pass through the decontamination tunnel, you need to take a left from there. Then you will see a green door. Pass through this, and you will reach a safe point. There you will see a monitor mounted on the wall, and you will find the report from this.
67	Raccoon City Bioweapon Research – Report	Inside the Guest Lounge, which you may reach after climbing the stairs with golden skeleton statues. Check the monitors on the wall for three files.
68	Product Catalog 1 (2026)	Found on another monitor in the same Guest Lounge area.
69	Product Catalog 2 (2026)	Found on another monitor in the same Guest Lounge area.

ARK Facility – Grace

70	Access Log: 51st Assembly Minutes	When you collect the Magnetic Key, you have to use it on the red door upstairs near the typewriter. Enter the room with the red-painted floor and go through the first green door on the left. Inspect the monitor on the right wall.
71	Sterilization Chamber Safe	When you are in the Anteroom, go beneath and check the crate on the right side at the first corner. You will find it there.
72	Monitor Control Room Safe	Inside Bioweapon Repository 05, look at the rightmost container in the middle row. The room contains several enemies, so clearing them first makes collecting the file easier.
73	Access Log: First Assembly Minutes	You will find this file in the Archives, which are accessed using the two orbs in the lobby area. Inside the Archives, inspect the last monitor on the right wall before interacting with the large console that ends the section.

ARK – Leon Final Section

74	Alyssa’s Interview Notes	You will gain it automatically during a story cutscene near the end of the game.
75	Letter from Patrick	Received at the same time as the previous file during the cutscene.

Final Reward

After these are added to your collection, the Case Closed trophy/achievement will unlock if all other files have been collected.
