This Nioh 3 Nuribotoke Boss Battle Guide details all the tips and tricks you need to defeat Nuribotoke in the game. Nuribotoke is a large yokai encountered in the Accursed Temple, but despite his size, he is not very threatening if you are properly leveled. His slow movements and limited range make him an easy target for aggressive Ki control strategies. If you use your summons correctly and stay mobile, this fight can end very quickly.
Nuribotoke Boss Battle Guide – Nioh 3
You will face Nuribotoke Boss in the Accursed Temple Mission at level 112, and you should use Ninja Style with Dual Swords.
How to Defeat the Boss
Nuribotoke is a slow and heavy enemy. Most of his attacks are not wide, which means you can stay just outside his reach and wait for openings. At the beginning of the battle, immediately activate your Ibaraki Doji summoning seal. Once it connects, rush in and unleash fast melee combos. Follow this up with your second summoning seal to crush his Ki bar as quickly as possible.
After draining his Ki, move behind him and continue attacking from the rear. This position is much safer and lets you deal more serious damage. Between your attack chains, toss a few shuriken to give your Ki time to recover. By repeating this rhythm: combo, step back, throw shuriken, re-engage, and you will reduce his health at a surprising speed.
When Nuribotoke shifts into his transformed state, you have two safe options. You can back off and avoid unnecessary risks until he returns to normal, or you can stay aggressive and use another Ibaraki Doji summon right away to empty his Ki again. If done properly, you can keep him locked down and prevent him from fighting back effectively.
To make this strategy even stronger, equip the “Summoning Basics” skill from the Onmyo Veteran mission in Eternal Rift. This doubles your summoning seal uses, which is extremely powerful in this fight. Ibaraki Doji is particularly effective at reducing boss Ki, allowing you to stun him and land critical strikes from behind repeatedly. Continue rotating through your summoning seals and Ninjutsu tools to maintain pressure.
This boss is also very vulnerable to Shrapnel bombs, so don’t hesitate to mix them into your offense. With strong Ki management, smart positioning behind him, and consistent summon usage, Nuribotoke becomes one of the easier bosses around this level.
