Blood Codes Guide – Code Vein 2
Blood Codes function as the foundation of your entire build. They determine which weapons and Forma you can use effectively, how your stats are distributed, and what unique combat traits you gain access to.
By actively using a Blood Code and fighting enemies of appropriate strength, you gradually unlock its full potential. Consistent use rewards you with stronger attributes, allowing each Blood Code to fully shape how you approach combat in Code Vein 2.
Blood Codes Bloodlines
As we know, Blood Codes come from different bloodlines of people, mirroring their personalities, which are as follows:
- Superbia – Blood Codes are centered around enhancing core combat primary attributes like Strength and Dexterity.
- Caritas – It focuses on flexibility and customizability rather than specialization.
- Gula – It represents relentless aggression.
- Patientia – It is designed for control and endurance, especially in crowd control.
- Luxuria – It adds unique twists to traditional builds and playstyles.
- Acedia – It is closely aligned with Magic.
How Blood Codes Are Unlocked
As you move forward in the main story, new Blood Codes gradually become available through key events.
Boss encounters play a major role in unlocking Blood Codes, since defeating certain enemies or Heroes grants access to Blood Codes modeled after their fighting styles.
Recruiting companions also expands your options. Each partner provides a Blood Code that mirrors their personality and combat approach. However, these partner-related Blood Codes can become temporarily unavailable if their bond is broken. Without repairing that bond, progressing further may permanently block access to higher ranks.
Blood Code proficiency grows naturally through combat against enemies that match the Blood Code’s rank. As proficiency increases, upgraded versions of partner Blood Codes become available, though story progression still limits how far they can advance.
