Silo Access Badge Guide – MIO: Memories in Orbit
The Silo Access Badge is meant for workers and is described as something that cannot be lost. While the badge’s importance may seem minor at first, this badge is essential for opening up the game’s first major area.
Once collected, the badge allows you to unlock a maintenance route located beneath Haven. This passage leads to a much larger zone. Without this badge, progress through the early stages of the game is limited.
Finding the Silo Access Badge
Because the Silo Access Badge is obtained near the start of the game, you won’t need any advanced abilities to reach it. The path is straightforward, and with a bit of careful movement, you should be able to collect it easily.
Begin by heading to the far left side of the map, starting from the first attunement gate and moving past Shii. In this area, you will notice both an elevator and Mel’s shop. The badge is located above that shop.
To reach it, take the elevator up to the second floor and step off. From there, activate the elevator switch so it goes back down without you on it. Once the elevator reaches the bottom, jump down and land on top of it.
From this position, look to the right. You should see a glowing item on the roof of Mel’s shop. Jump across and collect it to obtain the Silo Access Badge.
Using the Silo Access Badge
After picking up the Silo Access Badge, you can make use of it right away. The locked door that opens is the one that you likely noticed very early in the game, but could not access at the time.
Make your way back to the attunement gate near the beginning of the map, directly below Shii. To the right of this gate is a door that previously did not open. With the badge now in your inventory, you can unlock it without any issue. Opening this door leads to the maintenance passage.
