Where to Find Rusted Gears in ARC Raiders
Loot in ARC Raiders is always random, so that Rusted Gears can appear anywhere. However, these items have an Industrial tag. Searching in Industrial-labeled areas greatly increases your chances of finding Rusted Gears.
The best two maps for scavenging Rusted Gears are:
- Dam Battlegrounds
- Spaceport
Both maps have several Industrial-tagged zones, making them ideal for scavenging. In comparison:
- Buried City has no Industrial areas, so it is not good for this item.
- The Blue Gate has a few Industrial spots, but far fewer than the other two maps.
Best Places to Find Rusted Gears
Dam Battlegrounds
Dam Battlegrounds is very convenient because you start the raid near the Industrial areas.
Key Industrial locations include:
- Hydroponic Dome Complex – Northern Side
- Power Generation Complex – Northern Side
- Water Treatment Control – Southern Side
- Scrap Yard – Southern Side
These spots cover both the northern and southern sections of the map.
Spaceport
Spaceport is even better for collecting Rusted Gears because most of its Industrial locations are cluttered in the centre of the map.
Useful areas include:
- Vehicle Maintenance
- Container Storage
- Rocket Assembly
- Shipping Warehouse
The Blue Gate
This map has fewer Industrial areas compared to the top two maps, but you can still check:
- Adorned Wreckage
- Warehouse Complex
Buried City
This map does not contain any Industrial-tagged areas.
How to Use Rusted Gears
Rusted Gears are used to upgrade the Gunsmith. You can also recycle Rusted Gears to get:
- 4 Metal Parts
- 2 Mechanical Components
These materials are required for crafting weapons, crafting ammo, and upgrading gear.
