The Outer Worlds 2 Inhaler Guide – How to Get More Inhaler Uses

The Outer Worlds 2 Inhaler Guide

In The Outer Worlds 2, during the opening sequence at Horizon Point, you will get the Medical Inhaler, your main way to heal and restore health. It is an essential tool, especially when enemies start hitting harder and draining your health. However, you will soon notice that after using your Inhaler a few times, its Charges are not recharging. Our The Outer Worlds 2 Inhaler Guide details how we can get more Inhaler Charges for our Inhaler for more uses.

Inhaler Guide – The Outer Worlds 2

There are three main ways to restore or increase your Inhaler charges: using AutoDoc Stations, collecting Drug items that refill the percentage of a charge, and unlocking the Connoisseur perk.

AutoDoc Stations

All around the world of The Outer Worlds 2, you will find AutoDoc Stations. When you use one, it will:

  • Completely restore your Health.
  • Remove any status effects.
  • Give you two full Inhaler Charges for free.

But keep in mind that each AutoDoc can only be used once to restore your charges. After you use it, you can never use it again for restoration of charges.

There is also no maximum limit to how many Inhaler Charges you can store. So even if your health is already full, it is good to use AutoDoc to get extra healing for later use.

Collect Drug Items

There are two kinds of consumables that you will find in the game. These are food/drink and Drugs. When you are exploring and looting items in The Outer Worlds 2, you will find these consumables. Most of them are food or drinks, which simply restore your health right away. But there is another one you can find. These are Drugs that restore a percentage of Charge.

Drug items do not go into your inventory; instead, they are used instantly when picked up. They restore part of an Inhaler Charge, usually somewhere between 8% to 32%.

Unlock the Connoisseur Perk

The Connoisseur perk is a great choice for you if you want to increase your health fast. It has two helpful effects:

  • Increases Health restoration from food and drink by 25%.
  • Increases Inhaler Charge percentage from Drug items by 25%.

You only need to put one Skill Point into the Medical category to unlock this perk, making it easy to get early in the game. So, it is best to get this perk as soon as possible if you want to gain an upper hand on your enemies.
