Beldum is a Pokemon first introduced in Generation III, well known for its unique Steel/Psychic type and incredible strength. For many years, it has remained one of the most powerful Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon. In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, Beldum can be evolved into Metang, and later into Metagross, a Pokemon capable of fighting some of the strongest Pokemon in the game. You can further evolve this into Mega Metagross. In this Pokemon Legends: Z-A Beldum Guide, we will see where to get Beldum and how to evolve it.
Beldum Guide – How to Get in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
Beldum is a Pokemon that many players will not find easily. You will find it in the Lysandre Labs. This lab will be unlocked during the Main Mission 35: Reaching Rank A.
Once you have talked to Grisham and gained access to Lysandre Labs, enter it and go to the purple area located in the far western corner of the map. This is where you will spot Beldum or sometimes Metang.
Beldum has a very low catch rate; so, you should save your game before entering the room. Also, because Beldum is very heavy in weight, using a Heavy Ball will increase your chances of catching it successfully.
How to Evolve Beldum into Metang and Metagross
Beldum evolves into Metang after it reaches Level 20, learning moves like Confusion and Metal Claw. Then, at Level 45, Metang evolves into Metagross, a Pokemon with high Attack and Defense stats, as well as a Special Attack. It can even further evolve into Mega Metagross.
To get Mega Metagross, you need to make Metagross hold the Metagrossite. This item can be purchased from Quasartico Inc. for 360 Mega Shards, which becomes available after completing Mission 30.
Metagross’s Base Stat Total (BST) is 600, but when it Mega Evolves, it will go to 700. The following table shows how its stats improve after Mega Evolution:
| Stat | Metagross | Mega Metagross |
| HP | 80 | 80 |
| ATK | 135 | 145 |
| DEF | 130 | 150 |
| Sp. ATK | 95 | 105 |
| Sp. DEF | 90 | 110 |
| SPEED | 70 | 110 |
To get the best performance from Metagross/Mega Metagross, the ideal moveset should be:
- Thunder Punch
- Zen Headbutt
- Bullet Punch (or Psycho Cut)
- Iron Head
Using Seeds of Mastery can turn these attacks into Plus Moves, making them stronger and even more effective. That is all for this guide. Additional Pokemon Legends: Z-A guides are linked below:
