The Corpser is another tough boss in Gears of War, and you will encounter it during Act III’s chapter, Angry Titan. This is a fairly straightforward boss battle, but only if you know what you need to do in order to defeat the boss. Corpser Boss Battle Guide – Gears of War: Reloaded
The Corpser is a huge boss similar to the other bosses in the game. When it comes down into the arena, you cannot damage it because it hides its entire body behind its huge legs, which are armored, and your weapons cannot damage them. The trick to defeating the Corpser is to wait until it gives a small window, allowing you to shoot at its soft belly. It will attack using its legs, lifting one at a time and smashing you or the ground in front of its leg. Use these windows to attack its belly, which will cause it to lift all of its legs high in the air and also reveal its face.
Its face is its actual weak spot, and as soon as it becomes visible, it starts to roar, shoot at its face. This will cause the Corpser to back down a few steps. If it fails, the Corpser will move forward, shrinking your playable area. Once it backs down, you will need to follow this strategy and push the Corpser all the way back to the place where the land ends and the Corpser ends up on a metal platform held in place by two large clamps.
At this point, Wretches will arrive to aid the Corpser in its battle. They will try to surround you, and if you do not take care of them, you will end up dead. The Corpser itself is stuck on the platform with limited attacks, but these Wretches can make your life hell if they surround you. In the original Gears of War, these can only be damaged by the Corpser’s stomp attack, so you needed to lure its attack onto them; however, in Gears of War: Reloaded, you can also use your weapons to shoot down the clamps. This will make the Corpser fall into the Imulsion, killing it.
