Horizon Blockchain Games has announced that it has raised $4.5m in a pre-series A round SAFE from strategic gaming and blockchain investors. Horizon Blockchain Games is a video game and Ethereum Web3 wallet and platform company. Some of the blockchain investors that contributed in the fundraising include BITKRAFT Ventures, CMT Digital, The Xchange Company, Khaled Verjee, and Zyshan Kaba.
Commenting on the successful fundraiser, Peter Kieltyka, CEO of Horizon said:

At this point, Horizon is helping unleash the power of Ethereum and Ethereum-capable blockchains by giving end users a game and a consumer-friendly wallet to access Web3. It is currently a part of Ubisoft’s Entrepreneurs Lab Season 6 and will launch its wallet and developer platform Sequence.

Apart from Sequence, Horizon will also release its genre-shifting digital trading card game Skyweaver in 2021. The game aims at changing the landscape of digital card games by providing players the opportunity to play-to-own NFT cards and giving them the power to sell, trade or buy these cards. All transactions by the players will be done through the game’s peer-to-peer decentralized marketplace that seamlessly connects the player’s wallet where all digital items are stored.
