Throughout the gaming timeline, we have had many games, some define quality where some set up new standards or raise the bar in terms of graphics and gameplay but very few masterpieces hold a prestigious title next from fans and critics. These are the 10 Great Games That Defined Last Decade.
10. Fortnite
Yeah, we totally get it that you might hate the game (to some extent we hate it too) but this game can not be ignored in any case, heck it would make it’s way to any gaming list just over the thunderous impact it brought to the gaming scene.
It made youtube stars, broke records of player count, had amazing build quality/gameplay and the fact it turned a big number of nongamers into gamers is crazy!
9. Player Unknown Battlegrounds
Better known as PUBG is a game that literally defines the term Ultimate Dominance. With it’s console over PC’s and Smartphones to even the not so good console ports the is still to date being played actively with a huge player count alongside being the top streamed games to date.
The fact that it gave the world Dr. Disrespect alone is legendary!
8. Overwatch
Every time a new Blizzard IP is on its way to be announced the scene gets super hyped, who would’ve known that this new PVP would become an E-Sports giant.
Overwatch is an online game for the casuals and pros alike with family-friendly characters, different team and specialist based approach and neat gameplay.
7. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Whenever a fifth in the franchise title is on its way there is a slight chance of it not getting new players into the game instead of having returning players only, but here with Skyrim V things were totally different.
This specific part is the most loved and played by fans all over because of its design, build, characters and freedom.
6. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
No matter what people say one thing is carved into the wall of truth for sure which is that COD really is the best FPS franchise in the whole world and Black Ops 2 is the crown jewel of the entire series.
The amazing campaign, characters, fast and fun multiplayer, great maps and the zombies were perfect, a truly unforgettable experience!
5. The Last of Us
The team of Sony and Naughty Dog have mastered the art of delivering perfection. With TLOU they had set a great new standard of a top-quality Triple-A experience with the game’s amazing full of feels story, relatable protagonist, setting and the way the entire thing played was just Brilliant.
4. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
This is one specific game where we feel like we don’t have to explain why the name is here in our list. CD PROJEKT RED’S pure perfection!
3. Grand Theft Auto V
Grand Theft Auto 5 is too freaking phenomenal on so many levels that it’s impossible to beat it in any way, hell you can’t even come close to its story that still feels fresh years after it’s release, the amazing group of three con men we play as are instant favorites!
it’s still in the 10 most selling games every month from market places like the Playstation Store, the online play is still getting new things added and fans just can’t have enough of it.
2. Red Dead Redemption 2
If there is anyone who can beat the brilliance of Rockstar Games then its Rockstar Games themselves. With RDR2 the world of gaming changed forever. The amount of goodness and how everything was beyond perfect is mind-boggling.
A story that sits next to classic western flicks in terms of writing and direction, Arthur Morgan which is the greatest protagonist of all times and a stunning open world that eyes ever get tired admiring it.
1. Minecraft
A ton of games have received a positive reception, some win awards, some are most selling but this particular game has done above and beyond. By giving birth to an all-new genre that grants players true in-game freedom.
Becoming the sensation of Youtube, making stars like PewDiePie and an approach that lets you go at it for hours and hours is the stuff of the dreams. Minecraft started off this decade with an incredibly large player count and has closed the decade as well like a boss!
