This Death Stranding Materials Guide will show you how you can farm the different materials in the game, and how you can get more of such resource materials. Especially if you are looking to get more Chiral Crystals.
The game has various types of materials that you can find in the open. Locating them is simple and all it requires from you is to use your Odradek Scanner to ping their exact locations. While you can farm materials in this basic way, there are also ways to get a lot more of them. Let’s take a look at how you can farm more materials found in the game.
Death Stranding Materials Guide
Below we have detailed how you can farm more materials and how to get more Chiral Crystals.
Death Stranding Materials
Materials are resource items in their raw forms that help you build and upgrade various items in the game. There are 6 types of materials in the game, which are Resin, Metals, Ceramics, Chiral Crystals, Chemicals, and Special Alloys.
While most of the items can be pick up from the ground after you have scanned them, this method is quite slow and will have to you spending hours traveling and collecting several of each.
How to Get More Materials
Other than just picking up materials from the ground after scanning, the best way to get more of each of the materials is to engage in certain activities that reward you with multiple of these resource materials.
The first method is to take all the materials you have delivered after completing the order. When you take on orders that require you to bring in materials, you can immediately claim them for yourself after you deposit and complete the order.
The second method is to loot everything from the MULE bases that you come across. These are the best locations to gather a lot of material as loot. Some MULE bases also have vehicles that allow you to stack up more resource materials and claim them for yourself.
How to Get More Chiral Crystals
Chiral Crystals are best obtained by killing BTs. While these items can be found in random areas and in the open ground, you can get more of these by killing BTs. If you come across a BT, use a Hematic Grenade and throw it at a BT. This will kill a BT and you can then pick up the Chiral Crystals.
There is also another way to get several hundred Chiral Crystals. This is a tough method and requires you to spawn out the BT miniboss, which is the squid looking enemy that spawns after you have been grabbed by the BTs. This method requires you to have special weapons that can kill the squid and to be stacked with Hematic Grenades.
Defeating the squid will give you a lot of Chiral Crystals at the end, which is the best way to farm this material if you are looking for a lot of them.
