World War Z Heavy Ordnance Update Arrives on PC and Consoles

Saber Interactive has announced the launch of the Heavy Ordnance Update for World War Z. The Heavy Ordinance Update comes free for all players, and it brings with it a large number of weapon perks, new challenge mode mutators, new premium skins, and tons of other content. This includes 12 new standard weapon perks, three custom frames, six new mutators, new premium cosmetics, and much more.

As you can see in the action-packed trailer above, the new Heavy Ordnance update is a good one if you love exploding zombies. With this new update, you can now unlock three perks for each of the game’s eight heavy weapons, including the Chainsaw, Flamethrower, and Multi-shot Rocket Launcher. Similar to the standard weapon perks, these new heavy weapon perks allow you to utilize a wide variety of tactical bonuses and trade-offs in combat, while introducing new potential choices, risks, and rewards.

The six new mutators are live in the Challenge Horde Mode, which will bring additional challenges for you during your runs. These include:

Dead Pirate: Zekes stay alive for a bit of time after headshots
Paralytic Toxin: You slow down after taking damage in close combat
Ouch!: When you are grabbed, a random grenade, molotov, or masking grenade explodes
Sharing is Caring: When you use a medkit, its effect applies to all team members
Arm Weakness: You cannot use heavy weapons during Zeke waves
Slot Machine (permanent mutator): Purchasable defense kits become random

The new Heavy Ordnance Update is now live across all platforms, including PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. World War Z is currently available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The new weapons skin packs cost $4.99 each.
