Way to the Woods gets a new trailer showcasing the beautiful animations, soundtracks and cute deer. The game is set to release next year, which also confirms that it has been pushed a year later. Previously the game was supposed to release in 2019.

Way to the Woods is being developed by Happy Bee. The studio has just the sole developer Anthony Tan who has been working on the adventure RPG since 2015. The story of the game is about two deer that find themselves in a strange abandoned world, without any signs of human life. The deer have to find their way back home and survive on the way in the search of food, shelter, safety, and answers.

The game is said to be inspired by films such as Spirited Away, and Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us game. the trailer is quite beautiful visually and provides a stunning atmosphere. Take a look at the trailer below:

A Deer and Fawn must embark on a journey through an abandoned world of the unknown to get home. A third person adventure game solo developed by Anthony Tan, featuring music from Aivi&Surasshu, composers for the show Steven Universe. Unravel the mystery of Cat Town, evade a hounding pack of wolves, and find your light to explore a world filled with the relics of the old gods: humanity.

The game is going to release for PC as we still do not have a confirmed release date of the game. We are also unsure if the game would be coming out on other platforms as well. There are a few additions in the new trailer as opposed to the reveal trailer shown last year. The trailer now includes an abandoned subway and an area to explore a shopping center. We might get more details next year as to what these deer are up to.
