Publisher Tate Multimedia has announced that Voodolls Closed Beta is launching today with the full release of the game set for April 2023. Voodolls is a four-player online co-op or single-player tower defense game developed by French indie developer SideRift. The closed beta of Voodolls will start today at 10 am PST and will run through January 23, 2023, 10 am PST. This is the very first closed beta announced for Voodolls and it will allow players to experience a small slice of the full game ahead of its full release.
The developer has also shared a brand-new trailer for Voodolls to commemorate the closed beta. Check it out below:
Voodolls is designed to play online with friends as you will be fighting for your freedom after your soul is trapped in hell. After being offered a chance to escape by a mysterious Puppet Master who distills their essence into Voodolls. The gameplay takes the form of intense co-op tower defense battles across 12 planetoid stages that feature three difficulty modes and an endless mode with the goal being to hold back enemy waves who are trying to keep you captive.
Working together is key in the game as you will need to defend the Puppet Master and in return, you will keep your hopes of escape alive as each doll in the game comes blessed with unique abilities which combine together to allow you to annihilate enemies. Magda Schwarzer, Head of Marketing at Tate Multimedia comments:

The full release of Voodolls will have the following content available:
- Synergy between action, exploration, and strategic Tower Defence mechanics, including an array of traps and defenses to hold back the hordes of hell.
- Round planets – stylized and unique worlds each themed by the four seasons.
- Team of four characters, each with unique abilities, weapons, and battle tactics.
- Solo or online co-op up to four players – Defend the Puppet Master alongside three friends in full campaign co-op or tackle the task alone in solo play!
- Story-based campaign – Peel back the layers of mystery to uncover the secrets of the puppet master & the dolls.
- Three camera angles – Face your foes in immersive first-person mode or take a step back in third-person. Make tactical choices from above in the strategy camera mode: three modes, and three different approaches in one game.
- Extensive replayability.
- Many types of enemies to take on.
- Plenty of deadly traps to defend the Puppet master from the hordes of hell.
