Since E3 2020 has been canceled along with the majority of other gaming conventions such as the GDC 2020 and Tokyo Game Show 2020, game developers are resorting to hosting their own gaming livestreams and conferences on the same lines of E3. The latest company to announce its very own digital conference is Ubisoft which will host its very first digital conference called Ubisoft Forward on July 12.
According to the official press release, Ubisoft Forward will allow the company to showcase all-new exclusive game news, exciting reveals, and plenty more. Additional details will be shared as the event gets closer but we can expect that Ubisoft will now finally reveal proper gameplay of the recently announced Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Ubisoft previously announced that its first gameplay would be showcased during the Inside Xbox livestream, which featured Xbox Series X gameplay, but it was extremely disappointing.
Fans were not happy with the reveal and as a result, the gameplay trailer has way more dislikes on YouTube than it has likes. Apart from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft will also reveal more news and brand new titles during its upcoming Ubisoft Forward event. We might get to see more on Watch Dogs Legion, a title that has gone down in the shadows since its reveal. We might get to see what is next for The Crew franchise and what lies ahead for Far Cry and Ghost Recon.
2019 was not a very promising year for Ubisoft despite three major releases including The Division 2, Far Cry New Dawn and Ghost Recon Breakpoint. All three titles were received with mediocre reception and did not really perform well as compared to their previous titles in the franchise. 2019 was also a year when Assassin’s Creed franchise took a break however Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is releasing later this year.
