Ubisoft has released a brand new short animated video that showcases all the villains that players will tackle in The Division 2 Warlords of New York. Warlords of New York is all set to release on March 3, 2020, and this is the very first animated short video released by Ubisoft detailing the upcoming expansion.

Ubisoft has also announced that a free weekend of The Division 2 will take place from February 27, 2020, to March 2, 2020, for all players who have PS Plus and Xbox Live Gold. The animated short video explains how the former Division agent Aaron Keener, who has now turned rogue, manipulates his 4 lieutenants to take control of Lower Manhattan. His plans go according to his plans and he ends up taking control of the entire Lower Manhattan.

The short movie also showcases different aspects of the new main targets players will need to hunt down in order to bring down the reign of Aaron Keener. The 4 lieutenants include the chemical engineer Vivian Conley, hacker Theo Parnell, ex Blac-Ops Javier Kajika and master of heavy weapons, James Dragov. All of these enemies will prove to be a handful for players of all skill levels.

Players will once again come across the iconic Rikers faction who have plagued Lower Manhattan. To get a headstart, players who want to jump in The Division 2 Warlords of New York can start playing The Division 2 from tomorrow when the free weekend kicks in. During the free weekend, there are no time limits or level caps and all progression made during this free weekend will carry on to the full game if players end up buying the full game later.
