During the past several years, Turn 10 is releasing Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport games after a year break. Last year Forza Motorsport 7 released and this year Forza Horizon 4 released. So keeping this formula, Forza Motorsport 8 should release next year in 2019. But, that is not really happening.

This was revealed by the team in their one year anniversary video of Forza Motorsport 7. The team is taking an year break before they release Forza Motorsport 8. Creative Director Chris Esaki further said that they will work on features in Forza Motorsport 7. Watch the video below.

Forza Motorsport 7 still needs more improvement to finally become the racing game everyone loves. Its direct competitor is Grand Turismo Sport that released 10 days or more later than Forza Motorsport 7 last year. GT Sport’s reception was decent.

Since it holds a special place in fans’ hearts and lack of racing simulations on PlayStation 4 console, it, it sold well. GT Sports was termed as an incomplete game when it was launched because of its embarrassingly small car list as compared to previous titles which when compared with Forza Motorsport 7, has well over 700 cars right since launch.

Creative Director Chris Esaki further said:

Forza Motorsport 7 “need to get stronger.” That means re-establishing authority around all the different vehicle dynamics in the game, as well as track layers, collision systems, the core multiplayer experience, AI, and so forth. The things that are fundamental to what motorsport is, and that is exactly what Turn 10 is investing heavily into today. “We love racing, we are a motorsport team,” Esaki stressed during the broadcast.

Forza Horizon 4 is going good so far since its launch. The game currently has 450 cars to drive, even better, PlayGround games have revealed recently the post-launch content for the game. There will be weekly rewards and seasonal rewards. For more, check here.
