EA has revealed the brand new expansion Island Living for The Sims 4 during its EA Play 2019 event. The brand new expansion will take your Sims to Islands where they will get to experience living away from civilizations on remote islands. This will be the first time in any The Sims game where Sims will be able to move directly into the water, swim and do different activities in it.
The trailer for the new expansion shows Sims having fun with dolphins, riding jet skis and small rafts, having beach parties and also shows mermaids. The expansion will come with a lot of bright colors and island wear which really sets the mood for a beach party. The brand new expansion will come with an active volcano as well which will attract some really risk-loving sims to live near them.
Players will also be able to interact with animals and make friends with them such as Dolphins. Once made a friend, the animals will do different types of tricks such as splashing water on you and other cute little activities. The beaches will also provide the perfect spots for having beach parties, getting the perfect tan and if you want to, live your dream by owning a beach house.
Sims will be able to hang around with their friends and family and do different types of fun activities such as BBQ parties, dance around bonfires, collect seashells and make sand castles. Naturally, the next expansion will also come with new jobs such as an environmentalist which will work towards taking care of the island.
Taking care of the island will make it much better. Cleaner the island, more greenery and good things will be available on the island. More jobs will include fishing, being a lifeguard and watching out for other sims swimming near the beaches. The expansion will also with some new recipes and dishes which are unique to the island and its history.
The island also has some spirits living here which really worry about the island and the people living here can interact with them to know more about the island and making it better. The spirits will become happy or angry depending on the actions of the Sims. The expansion also comes with a plethora of new decor items which are themed around island life and beaches.
One of the most unique aspects coming in the new expansions is Mermaids. Players will be able to create customized mermaids with facial paint, tail types and other customization options. The new houses are also based on the new theme which includes houses on water and open houses which are perfect for experiencing the best beach life.
Announced at the end of the event was the next The Sims 4 pack which is Realm of Magic and more details will be revealed about the pack later this year. It is planned for a late 2019 release.
Island Living is arriving for The Sims 4 on July 16, 2019. The Sims 4 is now out on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
