The Precinct Adds K-9 Units in its Second Major Update Along with Key Improvements

UK developer Kwalee and indie developer Fallen Tree Games have announced the release of the second major update for The Precinct, which adds brand-new K-9 units. The Precinct is a neon-noir police action sandbox game, and its latest update brings some much-needed key improvements along with the new K-9 companions as well. The update is now available to all players for free across PC via Steam and Epic Games Store and consoles, including PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The new K-9 Update Trailer shows how the new companions can help you with different tasks and how you can look after them while you are now out in the field:

With the new update in place, you can now deploy a fully trained working dog from the precinct kennels. These K-9 units become your partner, and you can wash them, feed them, and also customize them before taking them along on your patrol. You have a decent selection of breeds to choose from, and you can also customize their harnesses and collars. These K-9 units are trained to follow multiple commands like subduing dangerous attackers, pursuing fleeing suspects, and sniffing out concealed narcotics.

Apart from the new K-9 units, the update also brings a multitude of quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes to improve the game overall. This is the second major update for The Precinct, while the first one introduced some new features like access to a tow truck and improved vehicle customization. Set in Averno, you are Officer Nick Cordell Jr., a rookie beat cop fresh out of the academy. You find yourself on the front line of defense as you participate in car chases, sandbox crimes, and a lot of 1980s noir as you solve the mystery of your father’s murders.
