Creepy Jar’s second project, StarRupture, is now available on PC via Steam in Early Access as the developer shares a detailed roadmap of what players can expect in the upcoming updates. Creepy Jar is known for its first title, Green Hell, which started its life in a similar way, in Early Access and grew to become one of the highest-rated survival games on PC, leading to console and VR ports.
Their brand-new project, StarRupture, puts you on a planet on the brink of destruction. You will build, automate, and survive on this planet until you can build a ship and escape. Unlike the first game, StarRupture comes with timed gameplay, and you will need to adjust your gameplay based on it. Playable solo or with up to 4 players together, the game blends base building, survival, automation, and defensive combat into a single experience. As you play the game and progress further, it becomes increasingly difficult because not only are the local fauna trying to kill you, but the planet’s life-giving star, Ruptura, is also about to explode.
The Early Access launch of StarRupture already has some player feedback put into it. Before its launch, the developer hosted two dedicated playtests, one for solo players and one for co-op crews. During both playtests, Creepy Jar collected feedback and used it to fine-tune the Early Access version of the game. During the playtests, the game’s reception was 92.4% positive. The 1.0 release of the game is still far, but the developers have released a detailed roadmap for the game, which gives us an idea of what we can expect to arrive in the coming weeks, leading to its full release.
To celebrate the Early Access launch, StarRupture is currently available with a discounted price of $15.99, a 20% discount, for a week, and then it will go back to its normal price of $19.99. StarRupture is now available on PC via Steam in Early Access.
