Star Citizen is Free to Play for a Week, Try out Alpha 3.5 for Free

Star Citizen Alpha 3.7 Free Fly

Cloud Imperium Games has announced that they are starting another ‘Free Fly’ event for everyone to try out Star Citizen for free for a week starting tomorrow. The game has had free trials earlier as well and since the developer recently released the newest alpha 3.5 for the game, it is the perfect time to attract players to the giant space simulator.

The ‘Free Fly’ event is set to begin at 8:00 AM PDT and will run until May 8, 11:59 PM PDT. The entire game will be free for everyone to try out the game for free and explore the world of Star Citizen as much as they want during this free week. Players will have access to all the new features added in the latest alpha 3.5 as well during this Free Fly event.

During the free test period, players will get access to some of the best spaceships in Star Citizen as well which include Anvil Arrow, Drake Cutlass Black, Drake Dragonfly, Aegis Avenger Titan, and MISC Prospector. These ships are free for everyone to try out. The developer chose these ships because they each belong to different categories and the developer wanted new players to experience the new flight mode.

Players will be free to explore ArcCorp which is a brand new planet added to the game. It is a planet covered by cities and is urban to its last corner. The planet features a new Area 18 Landing Zone where players can land and explore the life on the planet. The game now also includes playable female characters which were not present in the game before.

Apart from these major changes, the new alpha 3.5 also brings CIG Character Customization Technology, FoIP + VoIP Improvements along with new environmental AI Bounty Hunting. CIG Character Customization is an updated system which will allow you to customize your character in the game with greater details than before.
