GSC Game World has announced the release of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl Update 1.6, which is all about nighttime combat. This new update brings new tools which are essential for your nighttime raids, including night vision devices, laser pointers, and a new anomaly, along with more. Check out the Night of the Hunter Showcase trailer below to see the new content featured in Update 1.6 for Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
Starting with the very first new item, we have the night vision goggles. Using these night vision goggles, you will be able to see in the dark without much problem. Using them will provide a critical edge in the wilderness of the game, as you will be able to see your enemies and the environment clearly. However, other stalkers in the game will be using these as well, so you will still need to tread carefully.
Next up, we have the night vision goggles offset aiming. With the night vision goggles equipped, you can tilt your weapons for improved handling in close-quarters combat. If you are skilled enough, you can use this feature for long-range combat because it offers better precision. To aid you with the aim, new high—powered laser pointers are now available as well. These are designed to overcome the limitations of low-powered lasers when used with night vision goggles. While it helps with better aiming, it does not come cheap.
A brand-new anomaly has appeared inside the perimeter walls known as Fireball, and you will need to watch out for it while you are out exploring The Zone. It is packed with intense heat and poses a significant threat to you. Update 1.6 also brings with it:
- Customizable stick input curves.
- Local save backup restoration feature.
- Revised loot in stashes.
- General technical improvements.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is currently available on PC via Steam and Xbox Series X|S. It is launching on PS5 later this year.
