Sony has announced that it will hold the next PlayStation Showcase on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 1 PM Pacific. The show will run for over an hour, and it will feature PS5 and PS VR2 games in development from top studios from around the world. The show will give us a glimpse at several new creations from PlayStation Studios along with games from third-party partners and indie creators as well.
The live broadcast will start on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 1 PM Pacific on YouTube and Twitch. Sony has been showcasing their new games and announcements through the PlayStation Showcase format for quite some time now. Sony details in the official blog post announcement that the game showcase will feature ‘a wealth of new games and new IP are headed to PS5 and PS VR2’. This means that we will get to see brand-new games which have never been revealed before on the upcoming PlayStation Showcase.
While we know that the showcase will feature updates on some of the previously announced games like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and we might actually get to see its gameplay demo after such a long time. Apart from PS5 titles, Sony will also be showcasing some new games for the PS VR2 headset. It might not have picked up traction right at its launch, but it is a good thing that Sony is still pushing this platform forward with new and regular releases. We are actually excited for the PS5 titles like we are for the PS VR2 titles.
There is also a slight chance that we might get another set of PC release announcements as well. Sony has been releasing its PS4 and PS5-exclusive titles on PC for some time now and they seem to have done really well in terms of sales. Although some of the releases were a little buggy at the start but they are now in excellent form, and they run their best on PC since the hardware is much more powerful than PS5. We sure hope that we will get to see more PlayStation games coming to PC but even if there are not any at this point, we are surely excited to see more PS5 and PS VR2 titles next week.
