Sony Celebrates Fifth Anniversary of PlayStation 4 – Announces Another PS4 Bundle

It has been amazing 5 years since Sony PlayStation 4 launched. The journey from November 2013 till today has left a momentous impact on people who bought PlayStation 4 and enjoyed the games on it.

Senior Vice President at PlayStation Worldwide Marketing, Eric Lempel released a post on PlayStation blog. The post discusses some interesting statistics that have been accumulated in PlayStation 4 journey of these five years. He also thanked the fans for supporting PlayStation and also announced a PlayStation 4 bundle.

Eric shared that in this wide span of 5 years, a total of 86.1 million hardware units of PlayStation 4 have been sold worldwide. Also, a total of 777.9 million software units sold.

He also shared that a total of 11 major updates have been released for PlayStation 4 since the first 1.00 firmware. The 11 major update significantly changed the user interface and improved the performance.

Other than that, his post shared the statistics of top 5 best selling titles, top 5 Dualshock 4 colors sold and most popular titles on PlayStation 4. Also the post showed the rare PlayStation 4 version sold so far. PlayStation 4 Pro 500 Million Limited Edition takes the crown of rare PS4 Model.

Eric also announced a Sony PlayStation 4 bundle. Those of you who are not a part of PlayStation community, should join in now. Eric announced Call of Duty Black Ops 4 PlayStation 4 bundle. It will be available November 27, 2018.

The PS4 bundle costs $299.99 MSRP (USD) / $379.99 MSRP (CAN). The bundle includes, jet-black 1TB PS4 system, a matching DualShock 4 wireless controller, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on Blu-ray Disc.

There have been amazing games released so far in this year alone. The year kickstarted with God of War, Kratos’s journey in PlayStation 4. Then Detroit: Become Human released. Marvel’s Spider-Man is another marvel of PlayStation 4 hardware. Many more games are to come in next year, starting with Days Gone, The Last of Us II, Death Stranding, Dreams and Ghost of Tsushima.
