Sonic Director to Redesign Hedgehog for the Movie After Fan Outcry

Sonic Third Film

Fans have reacted very strongly after the live-action trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog movie was released who claimed that they have not seen a more horrifying creature than Sonic in the new movie. After the backlash, the director of the movie has announced that the team will work on the redesign of Sonic and will improve it according to the fan feedback.

Despite the bad design of Sonic, the movie trailer was okay otherwise. The trailer which was released to the public with bad reviews, made people call out to Paramount for creating in what appears to be a very creepy Sonic and something that does not portray their favorite childhood character properly.

One of the fans even said that Paramount should take some tips from Pikachu Detective and Warner is probably laughing at them for creating such an ugly character. The director of the movie, Jeff Fowler took to Twitter himself and announced that the team has listened to all the fan feedback and they will change the design before the movie is released.

This announcement from Jeff as a sign of relief and fans are now hopeful that the movie will have a much better and improved version of Sonic when it comes out. Fans from around the world have been sharing multiple ideas and concepts to help them improve Sonic. My favorite ones from the lot is the following one.

This is so far the best CGI design of Sonic that I have seen so far as it looks exactly like the Sonic in video games complete with gloves and those uni-eyes. The movie is still pretty far off so the developers have a decent amount of time to change the character design and make it look like a proper Sonic. If you have not seen the original movie trailer until now, check it out below.
