Developer Tactical Adventurers has announced the release of a brand-new DLC Solasta: Palace of Ice for its DnD5e RPG Solasta: Crown of the Magister. Solasta: Palace of Ice will bring a new story campaign to Solasta: Crown of the Magister which will also conclude the award-winning cRPG. This will also be the biggest campaign in the series since the base game’s release two years ago and it is slated for release in May 2023.
Check out the reveal trailer for Solasta: Palace of Ice which gives us a small look into what we can expect from the full DLC when it arrives later this Spring:
The Palace of Ice is a new premium DLC which will add over 25 hours of new content, and it takes place after the end of the original Crown of the Magister campaign. The new campaign is being developed with higher-level characters in mind which have to be between levels 10 – 16. In the new campaign, you will discover new locations and weather effects along with new enemy types and high-level character development including spells, items, armor, and more. In the new campaign, Soraks are infiltrating Gallivan and are threatening the Snow Alliance after making a deal with the demons.
The heroes will need to deal with the Soraks as well as the Demons to allow the Snow Alliance to elect a new speaker. Apart from the story campaign, the DLC will also add new dungeon-maker environments to the game. Two brand-new races Gnomes and Tieflings are also being added to the game. In addition to the premium content, the DLC is adding all-new free content to the players will which will provide more faces for character creation, the ability to play levels 12-16, a world map, and an NPC follower system in Dungeon Maker.
Mathieu Girard, CEO of Tactical Adventures comments:
We have been overwhelmed by the reception from the RPG community in the two years since we launched Solasta: Crown of the Magister. Having some media refer to our last campaign DLC – Lost Valley – as ‘the perfect DnD RPG’ has been humbling, and challenged us to deliver something equally as ambitious for Palace of Ice. Players can expect to explore more of the world of Solasta, meet new characters, and tackle new strategic scenarios in this challenging, high level campaign.
The Palace of Ice DLC will arrive alongside Solasta: Lightbringers Edition which will be available to purchase on PC at the end of May 2023. This will be a complete edition of the game Solasta: Crown of the Magister and it will include the base game and all DLCs released ever for the game including the previously released Inner Strength and Lost Valley DLC. Make sure to check out our review of Solasta: Crown of the Magister in which we jump into this brilliant cRPG and explore it thoroughly. You can now add Solasta: Palace of Ice to your wishlist on PC via Steam. Last year, the game was also released on Xbox Game Pass with PC crossplay support.
