Serene Island Builder ISLANDERS: New Shores Arrives on PC and Consoles

Developer The Station and publishers Coatsink and Thunderful have announced that their serene strategy game ISLANDERS: New Shores is now available on PC and consoles. Now available on PC via Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, ISLANDERS: New Shores offers a world of tranquil creativity that welcomes longtime fans and newcomers to explore, build and strategize like never before. ISLANDERS: New Shores is a sequel to the critically acclaimed minimalistic city builder and it expands on every frontier.

In ISLANDERS: New Shores, you start building on a series of beautiful islands and each level gives you an inventory of buildings to choose from. You must carefully place each of the buildings based on their unique properties to get the most points over the course of the stage. As you progress in the game, you unlock more structures and the cycle continues. The game builds on the foundations of the first title but brings a lot of new features to the table. One of the new key features is the introduction of boons.

Boons are single-use power ups that are unlocked on each stage as you collect points, offer a helping hand during the game’s more trickier levels. Boons can be used to replicate buildings in your inventory and replace buildings that you have already placed on the islands. There is a lot more to discover in the game as each boon offers an intriguing new twist on how you decide to build your town.

The publisher is also promising additional updates for ISLANDERS: New Shores are in the works and the title will continue to receive free content updates in the future.
