Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Manga Launching Next Month

Yen Press has announced that FromSoftware’s recent title Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is getting its own manga series and it will release next month. The name of the manga is Sekiro Gaiden: Shinazu Hanbei or Sekiro Side-Story: Hanbei the Undying and it has been created under the supervision of FromSoftware.

The creator behind Sekiro’s manga series is Shin Yamamoto who has already worked on Monster Hunter: Flash Hunter manga as well. He worked on the artwork for the Monster Hunter manga series which makes him a good choice for the Sekiro’s manga series as well. Yen Press is the publisher of the manga and the press release was released on their official website.

The Sengoku Era…A time when losing a battle meant losing it all. The Sword Saint, Isshin Ashina, aims for world domination…That is, until he encounters a certain Samurai…

It also states that more details about the manga series will be revealed later. Yen Press also shared an image of the Sekiro Manga which you can check out below.

The image shows a much younger version of Hanbei from Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Players who have played the game will remember him as the sparring partner in the Dilapidated Temple. We can be certain that the complete manga will feature even more characters from the game and will be a great way to experience the world of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

Yen Press has not revealed a confirmed release date for the manga however Anime News Network is reporting that the manga will be released on May 27. Yen Press has yet to confirm this release date but it seems like Anime News Network is pretty much sure about the release date.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is now out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
