Publisher META Publishing has announced that its chaotic multiplayer game Screaming Chicken: Ultimate Showdown is free for a month. Apart from that, the publisher is also partnering up with NEXT Studios for yet another giveaway this month with the excellent co-op title Biped. META also announced that after gathering feedback from their community, the team has revealed their plans for the upcoming changes to the game’s price and events they will be participating.

Screaming Chicken: Ultimate Showdown was released earlier on PC via Steam on April 13, 2023, and since its launch, the game has managed to attract many players who have taken down their friends in countless ridiculous ways. The game features over 100+ unique levels and after listening to the community during the past few weeks, the developer has announced different changes that will be made to the game in order to attract new players to the game. The team detailed:
We’ve seen that players are keen to play the game, but due to the lack of players online, there has been some apprehension to purchase the game. We are so thankful to those who have supported the game thus far and that’s why we’ve prepared a list of changes and improvements to make players happy and grow the community.
Until May 18th, META Publishing and NEXT Studios are teaming up for a cool giveaway. If you already own NEXT’s previous release Biped, you can grab a free copy of Screaming Chicken: Ultimate Showdown. Even if you purchase a new copy of Biped until May 18, 2023, you will still be given a free copy of Screaming Chicken: Ultimate Showdown. On the other hand, if you own a copy of Screaming Chicken: Ultimate Showdown, you will be given a free copy of Biped so it is a win-win in both scenarios. Own one game and you will be granted access to the other game for free.
Apart from the giveaway, price changes are also coming to the game along with some events, details of which are below:
- May 18th – All Biped owners will receive a free copy of Screaming Chicken by default.
- May 21st – Permanent price reduction to Screaming Chicken. All Screaming Chicken owners will receive a free copy of Biped through this date.
- June 8th-15th – Screaming Chicken participation in Whales Charity fundraiser.
- June 29th-July 13th – Screaming Chicken discounted by 20% during the Steam Summer Sale.
