Sci-Fi MMO Dual Universe Showcases PvP Gameplay in New Trailer

Dual Universe Beta

Novaquark has released a brand new trailer for its upcoming sci-fi MMO Dual Universe which showcases brand new PvP gameplay. This new trailer features never-before-seen footage which shows how the game is going to handle its PvP feature.

The new trailer shows that PvP in Dual Universe will not only require brawn but also brains. Players will need an excellent grasp on ship construction or have access to the best ship sellers in the game. Ship size, materials, and weapon and damage types will play a vital role throughout the battles. These fights will be based on lock-and-fire mechanism and they will range from small skirmishes between individuals to large-scale warfare between organizations.

In the new trailer, you can see the game’s real-time voxel damage where player-built ships sustain damage depending on the flow of battle and battleship crews. Each and every member of your battleship crew will have a vital role to play in combat. Check out the new trailer below and more details about the PvP combat in Dual Universe will be shared in the coming days.

CEO Jean-Christophe Baillie said:

With Dual Universe’s PvP, we have tried to do something really unique and innovative, leveraging the potential of our voxel engine, and first-person immersion inside potentially very large ships. Fans will have to rely on both their design and combat skill in order to stake a claim for themselves in battle. It’s all about strategy and planning, teamwork, and coordination, just like real life, large-scale naval battles.

Previously, we got to see the winners of the Dual Universe Space Station Building contest and the developer Novaquark shared a brand new roadmap for Dual Universe. Dual Universe’s beta is expected to launch this summer while the full game is slated for release in 2021.
