Red Dead Redemption 2 Will Come in Two Discs – Confirmed Officially

Red Dead Redemption 2 will release October 26, 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One only. The first game came out eight years ago which also was a console exclusive. A box art image surfaced few days back, indicating that the game will come in two discs. Now, we know that is real.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will release in two discs. One disc will be data disc, while other will be a play disc. This was first spotted in a Japanese box art image that surface on the web couple of days ago.

We have few images, courtesy to Youtuber Kofi, who has captured the inside box images of Red Dead Redemption 2. You can see clearly here that the game will ship with two discs. Check out the images below.

Also, the tweet mentions that the game disc comes with a map. This for one, the digital owners of the game will miss out completely.

We speculated the disc thing, when we first came to know that Red Dead Redemption 2 will require 105GB space on PlayStation 4 and 88GB on Xbox One. The file sizes later were officially revealed and you will need a total of 150GB free space on your PlayStation 4 and 107GB on Xbox One to play the game.

Just recently, a retailer in Europe by the name of MediaMarkt has listed Red Dead Redemption 2 for a PC release in 2019. But before you get excited, this can be two things: The first thing is that it could be just a placeholder listing for a future announcement, or it could have merely been a mistake.

We all know Grand Theft Auto V was first listed for consoles only. It released first on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Later, it released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It took more than a year or so of wait, that GTA V released on PC platform.

Now, the same can not be said about Red Dead Redemption 2. It has been eight years that first game released on previous generation of consoles. The game till today has not released on PC, so we may not even see Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC.
