Rockstar Details Red Dead Online Official Features – Everything You Need To Know

red

Red Dead Online Beta has kick started and by the end of November every one will get to play the game. There are tons of details and things to do in the game. We will break it down for you the features that Rockstar has announced officially. The journey is long and it will keep on improving based on player’s feedback.

Character Creation

Your experience in Red Dead Online starts with character creation. You will detail the appearance of your character and certain attributes. The journey starts from Sisika Penitentiary. You will acquire a horse from there.

XP Earning in Red Dead Online

In Red Dead Online, you can earn you XP by explorations and encounters. They will be counted towards your rank and will provide extra bonuses. While you will progress by earning XP in the game, you will unlock items and will notice improvement in your attributes. There will be a total of 12 Award Challenges for you to complete to earn a massive chunk of XP. The Award Challenges will be based on combat, hunting, sharpshooter and survivalist mechanics.

Activities With Your Friends

The world of Red Dead Online will expand periodically. Currently, in the beta version of the game, there are tons of activities that you can do with your friends. You can ride with friends in a Posse, set up your Camp, embark on cooperative story-based missions or go head-to-head in competitive series, find strangers throughout the world to help (or hurt), tackle spontaneous Free Roam challenges, go hunting, fishing, bond with your horse, explore with friends or on your own (but look out for ambushes), and much more.

Your Honor Rating Matters in Red Dead Online

Just like in the main story game, honor rating will matter also in Red Dead Online. You will see a rise or fall in your honor level based on actions. Actions can be of life and death saving or simple acts like brushing or feeding your horse. All will add up, and your honor will define the discourse of certain missions in Red Dead Online.

The world will respond to you based on your honor. In addition to the world, certain missions will be revealed in the world based on your honor rating. Here are two different ways in which you can earn or loose your honor.

Free Roam Missions
Head over to the Stranger icons throughout the map alone or with your Posse to embark on Free Roam Missions. You’ll see some familiar faces along the way, and these missions can vary based on how noble or nefarious you are – for example, an honorable gunslinger may be asked to help escort a convoy, defending it from attacking gangs or even other players’ Posses, whereas a dishonorable outlaw may be asked to help spring a felon from the law.

A Land of Opportunities
Honor also plays into this deeper cooperative strand for two to four players that we will continually build upon. In A Land of Opportunities, you’ll be faced with a multi-part series of missions, with some parts changing as your honor changes on a larger journey to seek truth and justice, or revenge.

Competition and Showdown Series

Red Dead Online includes 5 new modes in beta version of the game. The modes are a part of larger series of Showdowns. All you need to do is enter one of the Showdowns to start matchmaking into following variety of modes.

Make it Count
A true test of resourcefulness in two game modes: use nothing but a bow and a handful of arrows or throwing knives to be the last one standing. With a gradually shrinking player area, there’s nowhere to run.

Most Wanted
A tactical race to the top. Every kill pushes you up the scoreboard, but watch out: the closer to the top you are, the more points everyone else gets for killing you.

Hostile Territory
Work in teams to control the land. Capture a territory to start racking up points: the team with most points wins – or you can win outright by capturing every territory.

Name your Weapon
Demonstrate your personal specialty in this free-for-all or team based match: the trickier the weapon you use to land the killing blow, the more points you get.

That is everything for now that Red Dead Online Beta version offers to its players. For more details and future road map of the game, check out the Rockstar games page. Stay Updated. Let us know more your thoughts in comment section below.
